Introduction
Avalon is an AI-powered MMO and player-generated universe in development by Create Avalon Corp, founded by veteran game developer Sean Pinnock (EA, Microsoft) and former Sony Online Entertainment producer Jeffrey Butler. The game is built on Base (Coinbase’s Layer 2) and is designed as a shared metaverse where one character persists across many worlds—official realms, player-created worlds, dungeons, and PvP arenas. Avalon will feature natural-language world creation (describe a realm and it is generated without code), AI-driven NPCs that remember conversations and adapt to player choices, and a player economy where users own and trade items, skins, and entire worlds. Beta is expected to start in Q1 2026, with the first NFT launch planned for June 2025. The project has raised over $10M from Bitkraft Ventures, Hashkey Capital, Coinbase Ventures, and others, with a team that includes veterans from God of War, Call of Duty, and Elden Ring.
Expected gameplay and features
Avalon is planned to offer action-oriented, skill-based gameplay with crafting, gathering, and marketplace systems. Players will create a character in a central hub, form guilds, and choose which worlds to enter—official content, community creations, or custom experiences. Player-generated worlds are a core pillar: using natural language, creators can define terrain, structures, and rules; worlds can be published for the community to explore and are owned by the creator. AI NPCs, powered by partnerships with Didimo and Inworld AI, are expected to go beyond scripted dialogue: they will remember conversations, adapt to choices, and develop new abilities over time. The game is IP-agnostic, so official and licensed content can coexist with fan-made worlds. Guilds and social features will support community events, server-wide initiatives, and a creator program with revenue sharing for modders, streamers, and world-builders. The experience is being developed for PC and consoles; details may change before beta.

Token and economy
Avalon will support a player economy where users can own, trade, create, and sell items, skins, and worlds and earn real value from engagement. Specific token or governance details have not been fully announced; further information is expected closer to the NFT launch and beta.
Planned NFTs and assets
The first NFT launch is scheduled for June 2025 and is expected to include AI-powered avatar NFTs. Blockchain-based digital ownership will allow assets to be interoperable across the universe. More details on collections and utility will be shared by the team as development progresses.
