Introduction

Treeverse is an open-world classless MMORPG developed by Endless Clouds, a Taiwan-based mobile-first studio. Set in the world of Arboros and the city of Lorwick, the game blends traditional MMORPG gameplay with NFT integration on Immutable zkEVM (powered by Polygon). Treeverse emphasizes gameplay first: you can play and enjoy the experience without crypto, while digital ownership is an optional layer. The game uses gasless, seamless on-chain integrations via Immutable. Treeverse entered public alpha for NFT holders in March 2025, with a public release planned to follow. It is available on iOS, Android, PC (Epic Games Store), and web, and has been in continuous development since 2021 with 40+ consecutive months of updates. The studio is backed by investors including founders from Axie Infinity, Pudgy Penguins, AAVE, as well as Animoca Brands and Skyvision Capital.

Gameplay and features

Treeverse is a top-down open-world MMORPG with a classless combat system. Players start in Lorwick and can party up, battle monsters, gather resources, craft equipment, and explore different areas.

Core systems:

Combat: Classless system; fight monsters and clear dungeons with flexible builds.
Gathering: Mining, fishing, woodcutting, and other resource gathering.
Crafting: Use monster shards and blueprints to craft equipment.
Social: Form guilds, party up, and explore the world with others.
Worlds: Explore multiple areas and dungeons across Arboros/Lorwick.

The game is free-to-play and can be enjoyed without a wallet; connecting Immutable Passport or a compatible wallet unlocks NFT ownership and reward eligibility. Season 1 launched in April 2025 with a reward campaign (e.g. $END, $IMX), with a token generation event (TGE) expected at least one month after the campaign ends.

Economy and token

Treeverse integrates with Immutable zkEVM for gasless transactions. Reward campaigns (e.g. Season 1) distribute $END (2.76% of total supply in the initial campaign) and $IMX. The $END token generation event is planned for at least one month after the Season 1 campaign ends. In-game NFTs include purchasable Packs & Boosts (soul-bound, non-tradable) and Crowns (tradable, open mint for a limited time). Eligibility for rewards typically requires holding at least one NFT, with higher multipliers for Plot, Timeless, or Nftrees NFT holders. There is no guaranteed ROI; rewards depend on activity and campaign rules.

Market and NFTs

Treeverse NFTs are on Immutable zkEVM. The Treeverse ERC1155 collection includes tradable and soul-bound assets. Crowns are tradable with an open mint window; Packs & Boosts are soul-bound. Plot, Timeless, and Nftrees NFTs grant reward multipliers in campaigns. Genesis collections (NFTrees, Treeverse Plots, Timeless Characters) live on Ethereum L1 and are traded on OpenSea.
