Elowyn: Quest of Time

Introduction
Elowyn: Quest of Time is a next-generation strategy card game (CCG) developed by EARTHwise Games, focused on win-win gameplay and creative deck-building. The game is free to play and currently in late Alpha (90% complete) with over 20,000 players, playable in the browser on desktop with no download required. It is live on Immutable (including Immutable Play), with Public Beta scheduled for Q2 2026 and a mobile version expected Q4 2026. Elowyn combines time-manipulation and deception mechanics that reward cooperation and clever synergies over brute force: direct hero combat damages the Elowyn Tree of Life, and if it dies, everyone loses, so the greatest victories come from healing the Tree and playing for collective outcomes. The project is also an AI Alignment Arena designed to train benevolent AI models in win-win logic; gameplay contributes to research while players can earn EWA tokens that support sustainability and regeneration initiatives. Elowyn was a finalist for the 2025 Best Small Studio Award at the Green Game Jam (UNEP-backed Playing for the Planet Alliance).
Gameplay and features
Players choose between Player vs AI or Player vs Player modes and build decks from an ever-expanding card library. 10 playable Avatars span two factions: the Guardians of Elowyn and the Shadow Arcs of Moloch, each with unique Hero powers and strategy cards. Core mechanics include time-based strategy and deception decoding: mastering these promotes win-win outcomes and strengthens the Elowyn Tree. In-game choices reshape the Tree’s global state, affecting storylines, events, reputation score, and on-chain rewards. Seasonal content brings new cards (varying rarities), marketplace trading, tournaments, and cosmetics (coming soon). Fusion & upgrades: use EWA points to fuse and upgrade duplicate cards and upgrade Avatar looks; fused cards are stored in your game wallet and will be tradeable in Elowyn’s marketplace (coming soon). Compete in matches to earn EWA points, climb leaderboards, and take part in tournaments and seasonal competitions. The game is supported by Polygon and developed in collaboration with the EARTHwise Alliance.
Token and economy
The EWA token is part of the game’s economy on Immutable. Players earn EWA points through matches, leaderboard placement, and participation in tournaments; EWA is used to fuse and upgrade duplicate cards and to upgrade Avatar cosmetics. Earning EWA supports the game’s “Play2Thrive” model and real-world sustainability and regeneration projects. On Immutable Play, players can also earn Gems through in-game milestones and weekly quests.
NFTs and assets
Fused and upgraded cards are stored in your game wallet and will be tradeable in Elowyn’s marketplace (coming soon). Seasonal cards, cosmetics, and other assets are expected to integrate with the Immutable ecosystem; further details will be shared as the marketplace and full economy launch.
