Platforms: windows, browser
Introduction
Raven Quest is a 2.5D top-down Web3 MMORPG developed by Tavernlight Games and built on Immutable zkEVM. It evolved from the studio’s Web2 game Ravendawn, which reached over 220,000 monthly active users. Raven Quest combines a persistent world with lore, puzzles, and player-driven choices, a flexible class system (8 archetypes and 56 combinations), gathering and crafting professions, and an in-game economy that converts into the $QUEST token. The game launched globally in March 2025, won “Best Adventure Game” at the 2024 GAM3 Awards, and reached over one million unique Twitch viewers during playtests, making it one of the most streamed Web3 games.

Gameplay and features
The core of the experience is the multi-archetype system: there are no fixed classes, but 8 archetypes you can mix. You can have 3 active at once, each with 18 unique spells and passives, for 56 possible “class” combinations. Archetypes can be switched at any time, allowing highly custom builds.
The eight archetypes are: Archery (ranged damage and disengage), Holy (healing and offense), Protection (tank and party buffs), Shadow (stealth, poisons, burst), Spiritual (support, healing, crowd control), Warfare (aggressive melee and self-heal), Witchcraft (debuffs and damage over time), Wizardry (magic damage, ice and fire).
Beyond archetype skills, characters are customized with RavenCards: NFT cards that modify how skills work (see Market and NFTs). They are especially important in PvP and tournaments.
The world offers gathering and crafting professions. Gathering: Farming (crops with varying grow times and yields), Fishing (rod and tackle), Husbandry (livestock for food, fertilizer, materials), Mining, Woodcutting, and Breeding (Moa breeding with inheritable traits). Crafting: Blacksmithing (weapons, armor, tackle), Carpentry (logs for housing, ships, bows), Leatherworking (leather, cloth, light armor). Silver is the in-game currency for crafting, upgrades, farm upkeep, and transport.
Phase 2 added Guilds and Guild Wars: winning guilds receive 500 Gold, participants 200–100 Gold by placement, directly affecting ranking and $QUEST rewards.
Economy and token
$QUEST is the on-chain premium and governance token. It is used to: convert Silver to $QUEST and back (real-time variable rate), buy companions, cosmetics, and effort potions, and for the optional monthly Patron subscription. Token distribution is designed to be sustainable and limit inflation.
Players earn $QUEST by: exchanging Silver for $QUEST, completing bounties from the bounty board, and through leaderboard placement (e.g. top 100 in various profession categories receive $QUEST). Landowners have a dedicated share of the economy: 25.25% of total $QUEST supply is reserved for land owners, with over 252.5 million $QUEST allocated. Early landowners can also access an exclusive pool of over 10 million $QUEST. Land enables farming, husbandry, and woodcutting with multipliers and bonuses (crop quality, fishing XP, etc.) depending on estate type (Small Estate up to Fort).
Silver is earned from quests, PvE, professions, estates, tradepacks, world puzzles, mini-games, and daily activities. It is the main in-game currency; Silver ↔ $QUEST conversion follows a model similar to established MMOs (e.g. WoW, RuneScape) with a market-driven rate.
Raven Quest is part of the Immutable Main Quest program and initiatives like “Feed the Munk,” with $QUEST reward pools (e.g. 11 million tokens) for participants.
Market and NFTs
RavenQuest’s NFT trading hub (at least for the publicly visible, actively listed collections) is TokenTrove on Immutable zkEVM. TokenTrove aggregates RavenQuest assets into dedicated collections and provides filters, listings, and price history.

Below are the main RavenQuest collections currently surfaced on TokenTrove, what they represent, and what to look for when buying/selling.
RavenCards (collectible skill-modifier NFTs)
RavenCards are full-art collectible NFTs that act as a build customization layer on top of RavenQuest’s archetype system. Packs purchased with $QUEST contain 5 randomized cards with different rarities. In total there are 192 RavenCards, with two cards for each skill across RavenQuest’s archetypes. Each RavenCard modifies a specific skill’s behavior (changing how it functions), which makes cards especially relevant for players who care about optimizing PvP builds, tournaments, or a highly specialized playstyle.
Rarity is a major driver of value, but it is important to understand how it works: rarities (Common → Legendary) typically scale the intensity of an effect rather than changing the effect category itself. Practically, that means a Legendary version of a card is usually “the same effect, stronger numbers.” From a buyer’s point of view, you’re often selecting between (a) the exact skill you want to modify, (b) which of the two cards for that skill fits your build better, and (c) rarity level (how much power you want to pay for).
RavenCards also matter beyond pure combat: in Phase 3 notes and the Renown model, RavenCards can contribute to broader account progression systems (e.g., Renown contributions based on collection/rarity), so collectors may value having a spread of rarities rather than duplicates.

Land (open-world housing plots)
Land is one of RavenQuest’s flagship NFTs: it represents an open-world, non-instanced housing plot you can claim in the world (forests, coasts, mountains, etc.). Beyond the “real estate” fantasy, Land is deeply integrated into the game’s long-term economy and progression:
- Landowners receive access to ecosystem benefits such as a share allocation tied to $QUEST (the whitepaper describes a large portion of supply reserved for landowners).
- Land enables core productive gameplay loops (Farming, Husbandry, Woodcutting) that feed crafting and tradepack economies.
- Land size and tier determine what you can build (house / stronghold / fort) and how many rooms/bonuses you can unlock.
- Land comes with Perks and Perk rarities (Common → Legendary) that can materially change desirability and pricing. High rarity perks are limited in supply and tend to be priced as “premium” collectibles/advantages.
- For buyers, the key evaluation points are usually: tier/size, perk and perk rarity, location/coordinates (if surfaced), and any metadata that affects in-game multipliers or access to systems (e.g., room capacity, production multiplier, etc.).
Land is also one of the assets most likely to have a meaningful “secondary market thesis” because it blends scarcity + utility + token-aligned incentives. That said, it also means prices can be volatile, and value is closely tied to current economic design and player demand.

Cosmetics (outfits, transport cosmetics, house decorations, and more)
The Cosmetics collection represents the “visual identity” layer of RavenQuest. According to the RavenQuest documentation, there are hundreds of cosmetics spanning character outfits as well as cosmetics for ships, wagons, and mounts. Cosmetics range from common items (easy to unlock) to highly rare/legendary items meant to stand out.
In RavenQuest’s Phase 3 direction, cosmetics are not “just skins”: outfit cosmetics and house decorations can contribute to Renown, which is designed to translate into periodic rewards from a shared pool. That gives cosmetics an additional dimension: they can be valued for aesthetics, rarity/collection goals, and (depending on implementation at the time) progression-related incentives.
From a buyer’s perspective, cosmetics markets typically reward:
- recognizable sets/themes (community-preferred looks),
- rarity tiers and limited releases,
- condition/metadata that affects Renown eligibility (where applicable),
- and “completeness” for collectors (finishing set collections).
Where to browse Cosmetics (TokenTrove):
Munks (profile/PFP NFTs linked to Renown)
Munks are presented on TokenTrove as a dedicated RavenQuest collection and are tied to RavenQuest’s broader “identity + rewards” layer. Documentation and update notes describe Munk profile / Genesis Munk-style NFTs as a source of Renown. In practice, this type of asset tends to behave like a hybrid between a PFP collectible and a utility badge: you’re not buying it for combat stats, but for account-level prestige/participation mechanics and community status.
If Renown (or Renown-like) mechanics are active, buyers often evaluate Munks by:
- rarity (since rarity affects Renown contribution),
- uniqueness/visual traits (collector appeal),
- and whether the game’s current season rules reward holding/owning the asset.
Where to browse Munks (TokenTrove):
Moas (mount NFTs, stats and breeding)
Moas are RavenQuest’s mount creatures: they are the primary way to move faster on land and also pull wagons for transporting tradepacks more efficiently. The mount system has meaningful stats and can involve breeding, so Moa NFTs can be more “gameplay-functional” than pure cosmetics.
Key attributes commonly associated with Moas include Speed/Strength/Stamina (travel and hauling), plus tier/skins/rarity and in some cases abilities (e.g., movement-related skills). Breeding systems (where available) add an additional layer: Moas can be evaluated not only as an “end mount” but also as “breeding stock” based on trait potential, breeding limits, and tier.
So for the Moas market, the typical buyer questions are:
- Do I want an immediately strong hauling/travel Moa for gameplay efficiency?
- Am I collecting rare skins/tiers?
- Am I optimizing for breeding and lineage/trait inheritance?

Tracking sales and verifying activity
If you want a cross-platform view of on-chain activity (sales, fees, filters by asset type), RavenQuest Explorer tracks RavenQuest activity on Immutable zkEVM and exposes separate views for Lands, RavenCards, and Cosmetics:
Play to Earn
Raven Quest uses a “Free to Earn” model: you can play and earn $QUEST without spending. The main lever is GOLD: your position on the Gold-based leaderboard determines $QUEST rewards.
You earn Gold from: consecutive logins (streaks multiply daily Gold), Adventure Board (up to three daily tasks with Gold and XP bonuses), achievements (80+ with Gold rewards), Guild Wars (500 Gold for the winning guild, 200–100 for participants by placement), and profession leaderboards (top 100 in ~20 categories receive $QUEST).
Silver comes from PvE, professions, estates, tradepacks, puzzles, mini-games, and quests; you can then convert Silver to $QUEST at the market rate or earn $QUEST directly from bounties and leaderboards. Landowners receive $QUEST based on plot rarity and multipliers. There is no guaranteed ROI; returns depend on activity, token market, and leaderboard position.
How to get started
Raven Quest is free-to-play and can be played in two ways: in a browser (no download) or via the official desktop launcher (download from the website, then log in with your account).
Option 1 – Desktop launcher (recommended for a full game experience)
Go to ravenquest.io and create an account or log in. From your Account Panel (ravenquest.io/myaccount) you can download the official RavenQuest launcher, install it, and play like a desktop game. You connect using your email and password (no wallet required to start playing). The launcher handles updates, patch notes, and keeps you linked to the game. If you already have a previous client installed, the team recommends uninstalling it before installing the new launcher to avoid issues.
Option 2 – Browser
You can also play directly in your browser on PC at Raven Quest on Immutable Play. Connect a wallet that supports Immutable zkEVM (e.g. Immutable Passport via email/social, or MetaMask with the Immutable zkEVM network). Passport transactions are gas‑sponsored; with MetaMask you need IMX for gas.
Wallet and on-chain (for NFTs, land, $QUEST)
To buy or use NFTs, land, or $QUEST you’ll need a wallet on Immutable zkEVM (Passport or MetaMask). Passport can be linked to your Raven Quest account. For MetaMask: add network “Immutable zkEVM Mainnet”, RPC https://rpc.immutable.com, Chain ID 13371. For on-chain purchases you typically need USDC (and IMX for gas if not using Passport). You can bridge from Ethereum via Immutable Toolkit.
Team and partners (optional)
Tavernlight Games is the studio behind Raven Quest and Ravendawn. Raven Quest is the blockchain evolution of Ravendawn, which reached over 220,000 MAU and up to 40,000 DAU before Raven Quest’s launch.
The game is powered by Immutable (Immutable zkEVM): gasless transactions for players (with Passport), player-driven economy, and integration with Immutable’s ecosystem (Passport, marketplace, Main Quest). Robbie Ferguson (Co-founder and President of Immutable) described Raven Quest’s global launch as a breakthrough moment for Web3 gaming, combining Raven Quest’s audience (1M+ Twitch viewers) with Immutable’s scale (4.8M+ Passport, 2M+ MAU).
Notable results: over 1 million unique Twitch viewers during playtests, 250,000+ MAU at launch, “Best Adventure Game” at GAM3 Awards 2024, land sales sold out in under an hour. Tavernlight is expanding the universe with titles like RavenIdle and more to come. Immutable has raised over $300M from investors such as Temasek, Tencent, Bitkraft, and Galaxy.
