Raven Quest New Wilds patch notes: hunting spots and Disconnect Protection
Tavernlight Games will ship Raven Quest Update 1.3.2 New Wilds on September 2, 2026. After deploy, high-level hunters get denser endgame spots across five regions, and unexpected disconnects gain a short protected reconnect window instead of an instant wipe risk.
Background
Raven Quest is an open-world pixel MMORPG from Tavernlight Games on Immutable zkEVM. Day-to-day gas on the play network uses IMX; franchise utility runs through the QUEST token for exchange and shop flows listed in the notes.
New Wilds is a content-and-systems patch, not a new chain or token launch. Mechanical detail is in the public New Wilds update notes (opens in new tab). Schedule came from the studio Discord announce on September 1, 2026.
What happened
Scheduled go-live (Discord)
On September 1, 2026, Tavernlight posted in the official Raven Quest Discord (opens in new tab) that New Wilds would arrive the next day. The scheduled client live date is September 2, 2026. Full mechanical detail is in the dated New Wilds notes (opens in new tab) (Update 1.3.2).
Hunting spots and Rangers Company
From the notes: 13 new hunting spots and roughly 4,200 creatures across Ostera, Glaceforde, Elder Coast, Rohna Woods, and the Frost Steppes, aimed at Level 80+ and 90+ rotations.
Selective spots worth planning around:
| Region | Spot / creatures | Level band (notes) |
|---|---|---|
| Ostera | Direhorn Drakes, Tremoring Hills | 96–98 |
| Ostera | Stonelings, Tremoring Hills | 96–98 |
| Ostera | Molebears (new, burrow), Stonebound Burrow | 95–97 |
| Ostera | Stone / Leaf Naturalists (new) | 83–85 and 93–95 |
| Glaceforde | Yetis, Frostclaw Cliff | 94–96 |
| Glaceforde | Iceforged Dwarves, Snowdeep Mines | 90–92 |
| Elder Coast | Draconic Elves, Crowfell | 94–96 |
| Elder Coast | Dwarves / Thormarok mecha factory (sealed door opened) | 92–94 |
| Frost Steppes | Yornish, Yorn'omaala | 93–95 |
| Rohna Woods | Saltdusks, Saltdusk Keep | 92–94 |
Rangers Company adds tasks tied to those hunts. Yetis are classified Strong, with lower kill counts. After deploy, Dwarves and Mecha Dwarves share one family, so either kill type advances Dwarf task progress.
Disconnect Protection and Tradepacks
Disconnect Protection is for unexpected disconnects, crashes, or unexpected client termination. A normal logout does not trigger it.
While active (up to 45 seconds), your character is immune to damage, cannot be targeted or collided with, drops monster aggro, and has summons despawned. It does not activate if you are PvP combat-locked, under Skull, in a Tyrant, Aether Echo, or Rift, or in an active Arena or Guild War.
Reconnect inside the window and you get an 8-second grace that ends on any action (move, attack, ability or item use, equip changes, inventory moves). Anti-abuse caps cut protection off after 3 disconnects in 60 minutes, 4 in 180, 5 in 300, or 6+ in the same day. After a protected reconnect, unjustified PvP stays blocked for 120–180 seconds. Visual indicators and a system message mark when protection is still on.
Tradepack Protection: if you crash while carrying a Tradepack in a Safe Zone or Peace Zone, you can stay online up to 5 minutes with the pack attached. That safeguard does not apply in PvP-enabled areas.
Inspect, Google Sign-In, and World Map
Also in Update 1.3.2:
- Player Inspect on the context menu shows equipped gear and character stats
- Google Sign-In on website and client for new accounts only; existing logins stay as they are
- World Map floor buttons plus grouped overlapping icons (World Map only, not the Minimap)
- Rangers Company shows available charges and next-charge timer when no task is selected
- Currency Exchange defaults to 1 QUEST or 1 Lucky Coin
Combat, rings, and Auras
- PvP damage reduction rises from 50% to 60% (about 20% less PvP damage). Tavernlight will monitor for a week and flag a larger high-burst pass later
- Ring Warforging Scrolls: Legendary ring bonus 20% → 40%, still 1 hour, still 50 Warforging Shards
- Three new Auras (Spellweave, Dreadmist, Emberborn) continue the Aura collection introduced with Embers of Dragonforge. Notes frame them as equippable looks; they do not spell out a separate on-chain mint for these three
Who it affects
Players
If you run Level 80+ / 90+ hunts or Rangers Company, plan routes around the new Ostera and Glaceforde density first, then Crowfell, Thormarok, Yorn'omaala, and Saltdusk Keep. Molebears can burrow to dodge damage; Yeti tasks should need fewer kills under the Strong classification.
Treat Disconnect Protection as a crash net, not a logout button. Do not expect it in Arena, Guild War, Skull, Tyrant, Rift, or Aether Echo. Tradepack runners only get the five-minute hold in Safe or Peace Zones.
PvP fighters should expect slower burst under the 60% damage reduction. The notes say Tavernlight will monitor that pass for a week after deploy. Ring scroll users get double Legendary ring bonus at the same shard cost.
New players can create with Google; returning accounts keep their current credentials.
Collectors
This patch does not announce a new land or cosmetics mint. The three Auras are client customization in the notes. QUEST holders mainly see Currency Exchange QoL (default 1 QUEST quote). Check live shop and exchange screens before pricing utility off social screenshots alone.

What to watch next
- Whether New Wilds lands cleanly on September 2 (client + Discord (opens in new tab))
- Creature combat hotfix from the notes once QA clears
- Discord Looking Ahead: Arena Season end scheduled September 15, with a likely short extension (no seasonal rewards) while the PvP reward shop finishes
- Upcoming livestream called out in Discord: Fortune's Frontier registration and launch date, a RavenIdle announcement, and RavenQuest: The Fallen King Expansion messaging
Bottom line: Before September 2, skim the New Wilds notes (opens in new tab) for your hunt level band and the Disconnect Protection exclusions, then confirm the client is on 1.3.2 before you grind a Tradepack or Arena block.
