Axie AOC redemption is live: summon Origin on App.axie
Atia Original Crystal (AOC) redemption is open on App.axie as of August 26, 2026. Holders can combine five crystals to summon one new Origin axie, with each of six body parts taking an independent 7% Mystic roll. Up to 275 Origins can still enter circulation from the 1,375 AOC left; once rolled, those crystals are gone.
This article follows our August 19 coverage of the AOC redemption return with the go-live window, the App.axie summon path, and today's supply split between Sky Mavis and other holders.
Background
Origin axies are Axie Infinity's earliest collectible tier, capped during the 2018 presale. Five referral-era tokens, later renamed Atia Original Crystals, were built to summon one more Origin each set of five. That roll sat quiet for years after the original Ethereum burn path retired; crystals later moved to Ronin, but a public redeem UI stayed closed until now.
What happened
On August 26, 2026, Sky Mavis published Atia Original Crystal Redemption Is Open (opens in new tab) on The Lunacian and confirmed the flow is live on App.axie.
How to summon
- Open app.axie (opens in new tab) and connect your wallet.
- Click the grid icon in the top bar, then select Summon an Origin Axie.
- Press Summon with 5 AOC.
- Sign the transaction in your wallet.
- Your new Origin axie is summoned.
Roll rules
- 5 AOC → 1 new Origin
- Six body parts (eyes, ears, horn, mouth, back, tail)
- Each part rolls independently at 7% for Mystic
- One Origin can land zero, one, or several Mystic parts on the same summon
Sky Mavis frames the odds as close to 1 in 3 rolls bringing an Origin that carries at least one Mystic part. Treat that as the studio claim from the Aug 26 post, not an independent probability check.

When crystals migrated to Ronin, Sky Mavis reserved its AOC for future marketing and community rewards (contests, events, giveaways). Those tokens are part of the same 1,375 runway; they are not already redeemed.

Who it affects
Collectors with AOC
If you hold at least five Atia Original Crystals, you can summon now. Each completed roll permanently removes five AOC from the remaining pool. Private holders control only 143 crystals in the Aug 26 snapshot, so open-market Origins from non-studio wallets may arrive in a thin stream relative to Sky Mavis's reserved stack.
Origin and Mystic holders
New Origins can only come from this runway until crystals are exhausted. Existing Origin and Mystic owners should watch newly summoned listings for Mystic outcomes and how quickly private AOC convert, without treating the studio "1 in 3" line as a guaranteed hit rate for any single wallet.
Players
For Axie Infinity Origins players, new Origins land as collectibles in the same Origin tier as prior stock. Mystic parts stay a creation-time rarity signal on those axies.
