BLOCKLORDS closes: BLOCKLORE AI pivot and LRDS loyalty airdrop

MetaKing Studios is closing BLOCKLORDS, its medieval strategy MMO, and rebranding the project as BLOCKLORE, a node-based AI generation canvas. The studio’s X account (now posting as BLOCKLORE) made the pivot public around August 6, 2026. By August 11, coverage reported an LRDS loyalty airdrop for past players through the LORDCHAIN portal. Server cutoff and the fate of in-game assets were not published in the shutdown post.

Background

BLOCKLORDS was pitched as a dynasty-and-territory strategy MMO with Web3 economy rails. Work dated back to about 2018. EGamers (opens in new tab) cites a roughly $15 million raise led by Makers Fund and BITKRAFT Ventures, with investors including Animoca Brands and others named in that report.

The Steam launch landed on March 31, 2026, about four months before the closure post. The same coverage lists a Mostly Negative Steam score, with about 35% positive reviews out of 65. That reception is context for the exit. It does not change claim eligibility.

LORDCHAIN is described as a Layer 3 on Base that logged in-game activity. Staking for LRDS was already live by December 2024 in the airdrop write-up. The AI direction was not brand-new: coverage traces an Elisa Revard agent in late 2024 and an Age of Intelligent Heroes roadmap in February 2025.

What happened

Game closure and BLOCKLORE rebrand (August 6, 2026)

Per EGamers’ shutdown report (opens in new tab), the rebranded account said:

  • BLOCKLORDS is now BLOCKLORE.
  • The game is closing.
  • The replacement is a node-based canvas for AI generation covering concept art, character consistency, video, and editing in one workspace.

The post did not give a server-off date, a migration path for NFTs or soft inventory, a BLOCKLORE waitlist, or a full LRDS utility roadmap for the new product.

LRDS loyalty airdrop (reported August 11, 2026)

EGamers’ follow-up (opens in new tab) says:

  • Anyone who played BLOCKLORDS can claim a loyalty allocation of LRDS.
  • Amount depends on playtime and spending.
  • Claims run through lordchain.blocklords.com (opens in new tab) (LORDCHAIN portal).
  • Flow described: sign in, connect an Ethereum wallet, choose how much to claim.
  • Claimed tokens can be locked into a Node Reward Program for further rewards under live portal rules.

Earlier loyalty-style drops distributed 300,000 LRDS in prior campaigns, per the same article. Supply notes in coverage: 100 million max supply, about 54 million circulating, community 36% / investors 31% allocations, and a long vesting schedule. Market-cap figures around $1.15 million at transition are market context only, not a forecast.

Exchange and token context

The shutdown report also notes Coinsavi delisting LRDS with withdrawals cut off at 8:00 UTC on July 20, 2026. Treat exchange listings as operator decisions; check any venue you still use before assuming withdraw paths.

Who it affects

Players

Expect the MMO client to go away once MetaKing flips servers off. Without a published cutoff, export screenshots of loadouts, claim pages, and any wallet links you care about while portals still work. Do not assume Steam refunds or NFT buybacks unless the studio publishes them.

Collectors and LRDS holders

NFTs and soft items tied to BLOCKLORDS have no published migration into BLOCKLORE in these sources. The loyalty airdrop is the concrete next step for eligible accounts. Verify the portal domain, wallet chain, and claim UI yourself. Locking into Node Rewards is optional and follows live program rules.

Industry watchers

This sits beside other August 2026 studio exits such as Proof of Play’s shutdown: game wind-down, token or points still in circulation, and a product story that shifts away from the live MMO. BLOCKLORE is an AI tooling pitch, not an announced sequel MMO.

On Web3Raider

BLOCKLORDS / BLOCKLORE are not catalog entities. Closest hubs and network spoke:

What to watch next

  • Official BLOCKLORE posts for server cutoff, asset policy, and canvas access
  • LORDCHAIN portal claim window end date (not published in Aug 11 coverage)
  • Any updated LRDS utility docs tied to BLOCKLORE rather than MMO rewards
  • Exchange deposit/withdraw notices if you still hold LRDS on a CEX

Bottom line: If you played BLOCKLORDS, open the LORDCHAIN claim portal, verify the domain and wallet, and claim only what the UI shows as eligible. Do not wait for an unpublished server date before documenting balances you care about.
