Fableborne Season 5 delayed: iOS App Store review pending
Pixion Games pushed Fableborne Season 5 past the planned August 12, 2026 start. In an August 11 Discord post, the studio said the Google Play (Android) build is approved, but the Apple App Store (iOS) release is still pending review. It will not open the season on Android alone, so guild competition and season integrity stay aligned across both mobile stores.
Background
Fableborne is a free-to-play mobile ARPG from Pixion Games on Ronin. Optional Web3 layers use the POWER token plus Kingdom and Primordial NFTs.
Late July messaging set Season 5 for August 12 and opened web guild create and join at fableborne.com/guilds (opens in new tab). Client downloads were meant to unlock when the season began. Prior coverage of that window: Fableborne Season 5: August 12 launch, Guilds portal open now. Season 4 (opens in new tab) ran from December 2, 2025 through January 5, 2026, then the client closed between seasons while Pixion shipped the next build.
What happened
On August 11, 2026, Pixion posted in the official Fableborne Discord (opens in new tab) that Season 5 would not launch the next day.
Confirmed from that Discord post:
- Android: Google Play build approved
- iOS: Apple App Store release still pending review
- Launch policy: no Season 5 start until both platforms are available
- Reason given for waiting: fairness and integrity for the competition and season (Android-only would split the player base)
- Notice: studio plans at least 24 hours of warning before Season 5 begins
- Cause speculation (studio opinion): Pixion said it had not hit this store gate before and believes the delay may relate to review load from an influx of AI-made App Store submissions. Treat that as speculation until Apple or Pixion publish a confirmed review outcome.
No new calendar date was published in the post. Guild signup on the web portal was not described as closed; treat fableborne.com/guilds (opens in new tab) as still the place to create or join until Pixion says otherwise.
The delay is a store-gate issue, not a content cancel. Late July Season 5 messaging still listed Hero Equipment, Unranked PvP modes, Guilds 2.0, a new hero (Shiver), eight new units, a new environment, and QoL work as the planned season package. Expect those headlines to ship when both store builds are live, unless Pixion revises the list in a later post.
Who it affects
Players
Do not expect downloads or season start on August 12. Keep your Pixion ID and guild seat ready, but hold raid schedules, loadout practice, and event calendars until Pixion posts a new start with the promised notice window. Android players should not assume an early exclusive open: the studio ruled that out.
Collectors
Kingdom and Primordial holders who timed utility or guild rewards to August 12 should wait for the revised season clock. POWER spends and staking seasons stay separate from this store-gate delay unless Pixion ties a new Power Protocol window to the game calendar. Check live marketplace listings and studio docs when reward rules for Season 5 ship; do not price utility off the old August 12 assumption.
