Onchain Heroes Maze of Gains Update: weekly pool USDC and AGW bridge warning
On October 1, 2026, Onchain Heroes reminded Maze of Gains players to claim their weekly pool share, which lands as USDC in your wallet on Abstract. Abstract Global Wallet (AGW) does not support non-Abstract chains, so bridged USDC should target an EOA such as MetaMask or Rabby (or move to an EOA before you bridge).
Background
Onchain Heroes: Maze of Gains is the studio’s free-to-open maze crawler on Abstract. Arcade and Expedition runs burn keys into weekly prize pools and Gem payouts tied to the franchise loop around the HERO token. Play ships at playmog.xyz (opens in new tab).
Abstract Global Wallet (AGW) is Abstract’s account-abstraction wallet. An EOA (externally owned account) is a normal key wallet such as MetaMask or Rabby. The weekly claim thread says payouts go to your wallet on Abstract. It does not say every claimant’s Abstract wallet is an AGW. The bridge tip below applies if you use AGW.
This is a different AGW rule from Deed Season, which asked AGW players to link a non-AGW wallet for Robinhood Chain whitelist eligibility. It is also distinct from the studio’s Genesis Rings warning (do not send Rings to AGW). Here the asset in play is claimed USDC.
What happened
Weekly pool claim lands as USDC on Abstract
On October 1, 2026, Onchain Heroes on X (opens in new tab) posted a Weekly Stats + Patch Notes thread. The root reminds players to claim their weekly pool share, with claims going into the wallet on Abstract. A same-author self-reply spells out the payout: after you log in and finish the claim flow, the share is sent as USDC to your wallet on Abstract (claim self-reply (opens in new tab)).
AGW bridging warning (Discord)
In a separate notice in the official Onchain Heroes Discord (opens in new tab), the studio cautioned players bridging USDC while using AGW:
- AGW does not support any non-Abstract chain
- When you bridge, make the destination an EOA (MetaMask, Rabby, and similar)
- Or send your USDC to an EOA first, then bridge
Abstract’s own docs back the cross-chain risk for AGW users: the AGW FAQ (opens in new tab) states the SDK is not chain-agnostic and only works on Abstract, and the Portal overview (opens in new tab) says not to send funds to your AGW on any other network because the AGW only exists on Abstract.
This week’s snapshot
The same October 1 X thread shared studio weekly figures (treat as a one-week studio snapshot, not a checked market floor):
| Metric | Figure |
|---|---|
| Runs created | 64,633 |
| Keys burnt | 5,421,927 |
| Weekly prize pool | $3,795,349 |
| Gem payouts to players | $1,325,318 |
Mini Jackalot and the Gem path
Mini Jackalot is back in Arcade runs on floors 3–9. He will not fight back. Land 5 hits and he might drop a Gem. You can catch him once per run (Mini Jackalot self-reply (opens in new tab)).
Gem valuation at run end is unchanged: 0.5x–21x your key buy-in, up to $2,100. If Mini Jackalot drops a Gem, pick it up before you leave the floor; gems left behind are lost (Gem rules self-reply (opens in new tab)).
Sir Jackalot’s chest on floor 10 no longer contains a Gem. The studio says the Gem pool is unchanged; Gems are simply found earlier in the run, so you no longer need to beat Sir Jackalot to find one (floor-10 chest self-reply (opens in new tab)).
Who it affects
Players with an unclaimed weekly share
If you played last week and have not claimed yet, log into Maze of Gains and start the claim process. Expect the payout as USDC on Abstract, then check which wallet received it before you move funds.
Players who use AGW
If your claim lands in (or you hold USDC in) an AGW and you plan to bridge off Abstract, do not set AGW as the destination on a non-Abstract chain. Bridge to an EOA, or move USDC to an EOA first, then bridge. Abstract docs treat AGW as Abstract-only.
Arcade runners chasing Gems
Watch floors 3–9 for Mini Jackalot, land five hits when you can, and pick up any Gem before leaving the floor. Floor 10 chest farming is no longer a Gem path; plan Gem pickup earlier in the run under the same valuation band.
Collectors
This ship does not announce a new mint. Franchise NFT context stays on related pages such as Genesis Heroes, Ringbearers, and Items.

What to watch next
- Whether Onchain Heroes mirrors the AGW USDC bridge tip on X (opens in new tab) or docs.onchainheroes.xyz (opens in new tab)
- Next weekly stats thread for prize-pool and Gem-payout movement after Mini Jackalot’s return
- Live claim UI at playmog.xyz (opens in new tab) if you still have an unclaimed share
Bottom line: Claim any waiting weekly share, then check which Abstract wallet received the USDC before you bridge. If you use AGW, destination must be an EOA. Watch floors 3–9 for Mini Jackalot if you still need a Gem earlier in the run.
