OpenSea Mobile update: open to everyone on iOS and Android
OpenSea Mobile opened to everyone on iOS and Android on October 20, 2026. Collectors can create an account with email, and that account syncs with the OpenSea website.
Background
OpenSea is a multi-chain NFT marketplace. OpenSea Mobile is the same OpenSea product on a phone, not a second marketplace.
On July 16, 2026, OpenSea published OpenSea Mobile Is Here (opens in new tab): a gradual iOS and Android rollout that could put you on a waitlist.
What happened
Open to everyone on October 20, 2026
On October 20, 2026, OpenSea posted (opens in new tab) that OpenSea Mobile is on iOS and Android for everyone. OpenSea on X (opens in new tab) posted the same day that the app is open to everyone.
The download page is opensea.io/app/download (opens in new tab).
What the app is
The store listing is OpenSea: Trade Crypto & NFTs, from Ozone Networks, Inc. The app is noncustodial. Per the October 20 blog, email signup creates an account, and the app creates wallets automatically, with no seed phrase required to start. You can bring in existing wallets by QR code or private key. You can fund the account from Apple Pay or Google Pay, from a debit or credit card, or from a crypto deposit. The account syncs with opensea.io.
The October 20 blog says the app covers more than 25 blockchains.
The same-day Learn Center (opens in new tab) says email signup creates what it calls self-custodial EVM (Ethereum-style) and Solana wallets. Those wallets are permanently linked to the OpenSea account and cannot be unlinked.
The app includes a social feed of trades from people you follow across apps and chains. OpenSea Signals is a feature that attaches a note to a purchase.
Trading and fees
The October 20 blog says you can make cross-chain trades without bridging. When you trade, OpenSea searches across multiple onchain markets and aggregators rather than a single source.
Downloading and creating an account is free. OpenSea charges 0.5% on token trades and 1% on collectible purchases. Network fees may also apply, depending on the chain.
OpenSea on X (opens in new tab) listed perps (perpetual futures) among the app's products. The Learn Center says perps trading is not available in the United States, the United Kingdom, or prohibited regions listed in the Terms of Service. The October 20 blog footer says certain products are not available to users in the United States, the United Kingdom, or sanctioned jurisdictions.
OpenSea's referral terms (opens in new tab) give the invitee 10% off OpenSea's fee on token swaps. The referrer receives 25% of the fee OpenSea collects on those swaps after that discount. NFT trades are excluded.
Who it affects
Collectors
The October 20 blog (opens in new tab) says you can trade tokens and collectibles. The Learn Center (opens in new tab) intro says you can trade tokens and collectibles, and view a complete portfolio, including NFTs. That same page's Portfolio section says NFTs can be viewed and tracked on mobile, and NFT trading is available using OpenSea on the web. Check the live app for which of those holds on your account.
iOS and Android users
The App Store listing (opens in new tab) requires iOS 18.0 or later. The Google Play listing (opens in new tab) is on the store (io.opensea).
