Pixels Seaside Stash blind auction: chits close October 8

On October 2, 2026, Pixels opened a Seaside Stash blind auction on Ronin. You buy chits in the Seaside Stash Store to bid on an Apiary, an Adult Duck, an Adult Goat, a Host Your Own Energy Party, and 10 Integrated NFT Avatars. Bids close Thursday, October 8 at 5pm UTC. Non-winners get Buoy Bucks back, less a 3% fee.

Background

Pixels is a free-to-play pixel farming MMO from Banger Inc. You farm, craft, and run Task Board loops around Terra Villa in the browser or on mobile. A wallet is optional for the core loop; Farm Land NFTs and the PIXEL token sit on top when you opt into owned plots and premium sinks.

Seaside Stash is the rotating dockside store south of Terra Villa. This refresh adds a first-time blind auction: in-game UI does not show how much others are buying. What happened

Blind auction opens with five chit prizes

On October 2, 2026, the Pixels Post⁠ (opens in new tab) said the Seaside Stash is holding a blind auction for the first time. There are five types of chits, one for each prize:

The same-day Pixels X status⁠ (opens in new tab) names an Apiary, Adult Duck, Adult Goat, and “& more,” then points readers to the Post. A same-author reply⁠ (opens in new tab) links the Post again. The official Pixels Discord⁠ (opens in new tab) pointed players to that status and Post link.

Store UI in the status video shows Auction Chit: Apiary at a list price of 5,000 beside the lifebuoy icon, with dialog copy for a blind bid, 1 winner, a 3% bidding fee, and a Buoy Bucks refund per chit if you do not win. Other chit list prices were not readable from that video.

Bids close Thursday, October 8 at 5pm UTC

The Post states: The auction closes Thursday, October 8 at 5pm UTC. That is the player schedule (17:00 UTC on October 8).

When bids close, chits leave the store. Keep purchased chits in inventory until the auctions finish; they are removed afterward.

Fees, refunds, and how prizes arrive

Per the Post:

• If you do not win, you are refunded Buoy Bucks less a 3% fee. The fee is the same for every auction in this store refresh.
• Winners are announced the following week.
• Winning items and refunds go to your in-game mailbox.
• NFT Avatar winners receive the NFT in the wallet attached to your Pixels account. The 10 avatars are chosen at random from Pixels marketing wallets and sent at random to winners.
• The Energy Party winner is contacted by the Pixels team on Discord to plan the event.

Under the Sea skins and decor

After the auction rules, the same refresh adds Under the Sea skins and decor. The official Discord post and the Post name:

• NFT Land Silo skin (store UI also labels Under the Sea Silo Skin; dialog text says it only works on silos on NFT Farm Lands; video list price 59,000 beside the lifebuoy)
• Pond Skin
• Under the Sea Turtle: 5,000 discoverability points for 30 days (that 5,000 is the turtle’s discoverability grant, not a chit price)
• Extra decor on the Post: PIXELS sign and Anchor (both with ocean sounds), Teal Palm Trees, and Under the Sea Clam

Players bidding with Buoy Bucks

If you want one of the five prizes, buy the matching chit before Thursday, October 8 at 5pm UTC. Blind bidding means you cannot see rival chit volume in-game. Budget for the 3% fee on refunds if you miss. Hold chits in inventory through close; do not expect them to stay in the store after the cutoff.

Players shopping Under the Sea cosmetics

You can buy skins and decor without entering the auction. Farm Land owners should check the Silo skin’s NFT Farm Lands silo note before spending. The turtle’s 5,000 discoverability points for 30 days is a timed buff, separate from Apiary chit pricing.

Collectors watching Integrated NFT Avatars

Ten Integrated NFT Avatars sit in the prize table. Winners get them in the wallet on the Pixels account, not only through the mailbox path used for items. Treat the marketing-wallet random draw as the Post’s delivery rule; verify any later reveal against your attached wallet and live client mail.
