Pixels ships first Community Hub builds: $PIXEL bounties, Waypoint Oct 16
Pixels said in The Pixels Post of October 6, 2026 (opens in new tab) that the first five community-built features from the Community Hub (opens in new tab) are live in-game for every player. The builders behind that ship have earned over 450,000 $PIXEL.
Stakers: if your staking.pixels.xyz (opens in new tab) account uses an email, Google, or other social login, that login is a Ronin Waypoint wallet. Migrate it before Ronin's October 16, 2026 cutoff so you can keep signing in and accessing your staked PIXEL. Steps live in our Ronin Waypoint sunset article.
Background
Pixels is a free-to-play pixel farming MMO from Banger Inc. on Ronin. You farm, craft, and run Task Board loops around Terra Villa; Farm Land and PIXEL sit on top when you opt into owned plots and premium sinks.
In July 2026 Pixels open-sourced its client, then the backend, then launched the Community Hub so builders could upload mods, tools, quests, and quality-of-life fixes. The October 6 Post is the first major Community Hub update shipped into the main game.
What happened
Five builds live for every player
Per The Pixels Post (opens in new tab), these Community Hub requests are live for every player:

Reforge AI for builders
A sixth bounty sits in Reforge (opens in new tab), not in the live client loop: Build Your Realm With AI (200,000 $PIXEL). Reforge now works with AI assistants such as Claude Code, Cursor, and VS Code. You describe a quest or item in plain words; the assistant builds it into your Realm. That tool is for builders, not a new button for every farmer.
How the Community Hub works
Per the Post:
- Anyone can request a feature on community.pixels.xyz (opens in new tab), often with a $PIXEL bounty.
- Builders upload mods, tools, quests, quality-of-life fixes, or forks.
- The Pixels team reviews every submission for safety.
- Players play the builds and vote on what should enter the main game.
- Winning work can ship into the live client, as these five features did.

Staking reminder: social login = Waypoint
The Post and Discord use the same line: if your staking account at staking.pixels.xyz is connected to a social login wallet (email, Google, etc.), that is a Waypoint wallet and it needs to be migrated so you can keep signing in and accessing your staked $PIXEL.
Pixels notes some players missed the original Ronin Waypoint deadline and says Ronin extended it by two weeks, so there is still time. Pixels itself does not name a calendar date. Ronin set the cutoff as October 16, 2026 (no time of day) in its October 2 X thread (opens in new tab). Migrate to Ronin Stash or send assets to a Ronin Wallet; full steps are in Ronin Waypoint sunset: migrate before October 16. If anything fails, Pixels says to open a support ticket.
Pixels did not say what happens to stakes left on a Waypoint login after October 16, and it did not publish staking-specific unstake or restake steps. Treat the action as a wallet migration, not a restake guide.
Who it affects
Players
The five QoL features are already in the live game: favorites, bookmark search, sell-tab search, land permission categories, and the recipe book. No extra download is required for those.
Stakers on social login
Anyone whose staking.pixels.xyz login is email/Google (or similar) should migrate that Waypoint wallet before October 16. Seed-phrase Ronin Wallet logins are outside this Pixels reminder; still check which login type you actually use on the staking site.
Builders and landholders
Reforge's AI assistant path and the 200,000 $PIXEL bounty are for creators shipping Realms content. Landowners get clearer per-category access controls from the land-permissions build.
