Sunflower Land's next Chapter: caves November 2, Rarecrow deposits October 28

On November 2, 2026, Sunflower Land's next Chapter opens, and caves appear on islands. The Rarecrow deposit system moves to October 28, 2026 because the team is focused on the November 2 Chapter. Digging tool stock is already up 2.5x. Each farm gets the new stock on its next restock.

Background

Sunflower Land is Thought Farm's browser farm RPG. You can start without a wallet, then move progress and collectibles on-chain when you opt in. Chapters are the studio's roughly quarterly content windows. The August Chapter 15 update covers Ascension Age (Chapter 15), which runs through November 2.

The official Sunflower Land X account (opens in new tab) has been teasing caves, new resources, and Piglets in the Plaza for that same November 2 date since early October. Studio docs (opens in new tab) still list Chapter 15 as the current Chapter and do not yet have a Chapter 16 page.

What happened

Next Chapter and caves on November 2

The team's Discord announcement said the next Chapter releases on November 2. An October 2 post (opens in new tab) from the official Sunflower Land X account said new resources arrive on November 2, without naming them. On October 6, 2026, that account said (opens in new tab) caves will appear on islands. An October 19 post (opens in new tab) put Piglets in the Plaza on November 2. On October 21, 2026, it posted (opens in new tab) that the caves will open on November 2.

In the game's public GitHub code as of October 22, 2026 (opens in new tab), that next window is Chapter 16, named Cave Dwellers, from November 2, 2026 to February 1, 2027. That file ends Ascension Age on November 2.

That GitHub code also lists a Cave skill tree (opens in new tab) of eleven skills on Spring island and Gloomwick (opens in new tab) as a Goblin Cave Merchant with rotating stock. PR 7840 (opens in new tab) names the Chapter ticket as the Beetle Wing and the Chapter mutants as Mushroom Chicken, Ladybug Cow, Beetle Sheep, and Cyclops Bloom. Those names and dates appear in the merged client code, and they may still change.

Chapter 16 features (Pigpen, Cave, Beetle feeding) were opened (opens in new tab) to Beta Pass holders on October 20, 2026.

Rarecrow deposits move to October 28

The team's Discord announcement said the Rarecrow deposit system is delayed to October 28 (originally October 20) because the team is focused on the November 2 Chapter. The studio did not publish how the deposit works or a first-party deposit page.

Digging tools already restock higher

A Sunflower Land Discord announcement said digging tool stock is up 2.5x ahead of the caves Chapter, and that the new stock applies on your next restock. In the game's public GitHub code, PR 7836 (opens in new tab) raises Sand Shovel stock from 50 to 125 and Sand Drill stock from 10 to 25.

Chapter Crop Week: Crystal Leaf before October 26, 2026, 00:00 UTC

A Sunflower Land Discord announcement brought back Chapter Crop Week with Crystal Leaf. It takes one day to grow without buffs and leaves the seed shop at October 26, 2026, 00:00 UTC. Crystal Cookie, cooked in the fire pit, can be eaten or turned in for the ongoing daily raffles. The Plaza has a cooking leaderboard; the prize for top cooks is unspecified.
