Parallel (Game)

Introduction

Parallel (Parallel TCG) is a free-to-play sci-fi trading card game from Parallel Studios, set in a post-Earth universe where five human evolution lines—Parallels—fight for control of the planet. Decks are built from 40 faction cards plus Universal cards, with ranked PvP, expansions, and esports-style prize pools (including the Parallel League).

The game runs in open beta on PC (including Epic Games Store) and launched on mobile (iOS and Android) in 2026 after years of development. Web3 is optional: you can play with free Apparition (account-bound) cards; digital collectibles (NFTs on Ethereum and Base) unlock win-to-earn rewards in $PRIME via the Echelon Prime ecosystem.

Gameplay and features

Parallel is built around five factions (Parallels), each with a distinct playstyle:

Earthen — defensive, protection-focused strategies.
Augencore — war machines and mech-oriented gameplay.
Marcolian — fast aggression, fire support, and armored vehicles.
Kathari — cloning and genetic-science mechanics.
The Shroud — battlefield manipulation and strong late-game units.

Core rules and modes include:

40-card decks from one Parallel plus Universal cards (max 3 copies per card, 1 for Legendary).
Mix of Apparitions and NFT cards — no requirement to own collectibles to compete.
Ranked play, seasonal content, and 1–2 expansions per year (e.g. Planetfall, Deception).
Parallel League championship seasons with large prize pools (public materials have cited tiers up to $2M).
In-game Glints for battle pass, Apparition packs, cosmetics, and tournament tickets (via Stripe, not mandatory for F2P).

The broader Parallel Universe also includes Colony (AI agent simulation) and Sanctuary (third-person extraction shooter)—separate titles from the same franchise.

Token and economy

The ecosystem token is $PRIME, issued by the Echelon Prime Foundation. PRIME is used across Echelon products—including Parallel TCG—through PRIME Sinks (spending) and gameplay earnings for eligible players holding digital collectibles.

Documented utility includes:

Earning PRIME through ranked win-to-earn when using NFT card versions (distribution via Echelon systems).
Spending PRIME on cosmetics, cards, tournament tickets, and other sinks on official channels.
Governance and ecosystem participation via the Emissaries Prime structure.
Staking and cross-title benefits (e.g. Parallel Avatars can boost PRIME earnings when winning with a matching Parallel deck).

PRIME exists on Ethereum and Base (Echelon deployment). In-game Glints are separate soft currency for non-NFT purchases. Card editions have fixed supply per set; later expansions do not reprint earlier editions at higher supply (though they may include new versions of characters).

NFTs and categories

Playable cards are ERC-1155 digital collectibles on Ethereum (base set Parallel Alpha; expansions such as Planetfall on Ethereum, with some sets also on Base, e.g. Deception). They do not grant competitive power over free Apparitions— they enable ownership, trading, and PRIME-related rewards.
