Parallel Battle Pass Season 3: Die By The Blade and Eckrel's Blade

Parallel opened Battle Pass Season 3: Die By The Blade at the game’s latest Thursday rollover, with the studio blog dating the start to August 6, 2026 at 15:00 UTC. The season’s headline card is Eckrel’s Blade, a Universal upgrade that can sit in any deck. For the first month, that card stays pass-only: no Apparition Pack pulls and no Scraps crafting until the Battle Pass ends.

Background

Parallel is a sci-fi TCG built around five Parallels (Augencore, Earthen, Kathari, Marcolian, The Shroud). You can queue without NFTs; tradable card NFTs deepen the collection layer when you opt in. Settlement and catalog links sit on Ethereum and Base, with PRIME as the franchise token.

Battle Pass seasons now follow a calendar locked to the first Thursday of the month at 15:00 UTC, a change Parallel’s FAQ dates from Season 11 onward (previously first-of-month and 00:00 UTC). Season 3 sits inside the Emergence Battle Pass series. The Parallel Season 3 blog (opens in new tab) also notes a soft ladder reset at open, with five placement matches before you regain a rank.

Universal cards are the important rules category here. No Parallel owns them. They are legal in every deck, which is why a Universal upgrade is a wider meta lever than a faction-locked rare.

What happened

Coverage from EGamers (opens in new tab), the Season 3 blog, and the Battle Pass FAQ (opens in new tab) line up on these live facts:

Season open

  • Title: Die By The Blade (Season 3 / Emergence)
  • Live at the latest Thursday rollover; blog start Aug 6, 2026, 15:00 UTC
  • Soft ladder reset; five placement matches for a new rank
  • New playable card: Eckrel’s Blade (Universal upgrade / Universal Rare)
  • Two new card backs; secondary coverage says one is a PL without defining the label
  • Cost and effect text for Eckrel’s Blade were not in the launch posts reviewed

Why Universal upgrades matter in play

Upgrades attach to Units. When a Unit is Wasted, Salvage can move equipped Upgrades onto other Units, so upgrades can outlast a wipe. Deck construction still caps you at 40 cards, three copies of a card, and one Legendary.

Pass structure

TrackLevelsEntry
Free Track1–30, then Bonus LevelsFree
Premium Track1–30, then Bonus Levels2,400 Glints

Premium Track (FAQ / secondary coverage): Level 1 playable card, exclusive card back, Glints, Apparition Packs, and a First Edition of the season card.

Free Track: Apparition Packs, Ethereal Shards, XP Fragments, the new playable card, exclusive Paragon skin and card frame, plus Glints.

First-month exclusivity

Each Battle Pass introduces a card that is available only from that pass for its first month. Until the pass wraps, you cannot pull it from an Apparition Pack or craft it with Scraps. That is the operational clock for collectors and ladder players who want Eckrel’s Blade before it floods packs.

PRIME cosmetic path

Battle Pass cosmetics can move to a Prime Variant by spending PRIME and turning in the Apparition version. Those Prime Variants are tradable. Eligibility is limited to the current Battle Pass cosmetics, and the upgrade window closes when that pass closes.

Who it affects

Ranked and casual players

If you play any of the five Parallel factions, Eckrel’s Blade is on your watch list because Universal legality ignores faction identity. Soft reset means your prior rank is gone until you finish placements. Bonus Levels past 30 matter only if you keep grinding after the main track.

Premium buyers spend 2,400 Glints for the Premium Track. Glints are Parallel’s in-client premium currency, separate from the PRIME token. Decide early if you care about First Edition timing and exclusive backs, because month-one exclusivity is the scarcity window.

Collectors and traders

Pass-only month one is the main market signal: supply is gated to pass progress until packs and craft open. Prime Variant upgrades create a later tradable layer, but only while the pass is still eligible. Do not price Eckrel’s Blade from social spoilers alone until Parallel publishes full effect text in-client or in docs.

  • Prime Variant upgrade window for Season 3 cosmetics before the pass closes
  • Ladder pace after the soft reset and five placements
  • Official posts from Parallel (opens in new tab) and parallel.life (opens in new tab)
