Parallel Battle Pass Season 4: The Son of Mars ladder soft reset

Parallel opened Battle Pass Season 4: The Son of Mars on September 3, 2026 at 15:00 UTC, continuing the Emergence pass series after Season 3’s Die By The Blade. The season soft-resets the competitive ladder, so you need five placement matches before you get a fresh rank. The headline card is Colonel Renard, a new Marcolian Rare.

Background

Parallel is a sci-fi TCG built around five Parallels (Augencore, Earthen, Kathari, Marcolian, The Shroud). You can queue without NFTs; owning tradable card NFTs is optional and mainly deepens collection and deckbuilding when you buy in. Settlement and catalog links sit on Ethereum and Base, with PRIME as the franchise token.

Battle Pass seasons in the Emergence series pair a ladder refresh with a new playable card and cosmetic track. Season 3 centered on Eckrel’s Blade, a Universal upgrade. Season 4 shifts the new-card spotlight to Marcolian, the Mars-facing Parallel, and titles the month The Son of Mars.

Marcolian cards only go in Marcolian decks. That is narrower than a Universal card that any faction can play, but it matters immediately if you already grind Marcolian ladders or want the new Rare before the wider card pool catches up.

What happened

According to the Parallel Season 4 blog (opens in new tab) (published September 3, 2026), these items went live with the season open:

Ladder soft reset

  • Season title: The Son of Mars (Battle Pass Season 4 / Emergence)
  • Live September 3, 2026, 15:00 UTC
  • Soft ladder reset at open
  • Five placement matches before a new rank

Colonel Renard

  • New playable card: Colonel Renard
  • Rarity / Parallel: Marcolian Rare
  • Studio card page: Colonel Renard (opens in new tab)
  • Full cost and effect text were not in the launch blog body; check the card page and in-client text before building around spoilers

Cosmetics and titles

  • Card back: The Crimson Virage (a previously released Ship card back included for this season)
  • Title Bloodhound: Level 2 on the Premium Battle Pass
  • Title Conqueror: Level 50 on the Base (free) Battle Pass

Battle Pass XP

Parallel raised XP per Battle Pass level to 1,000 XP for Season 4, so each level takes longer than the prior cadence.

Emergence lore Part 4

The studio scheduled Part 4 of the Emergence lore series for Friday, September 4, covering Marcolian origins and how they turned Mars into a military power in Parallel’s setting. That lore drop is separate from the playable card unlock path.

Pass structure (FAQ baseline)

TrackLevelsEntry
Free Track (Base)1–30, then Bonus LevelsFree
Premium Track1–30, then Bonus Levels2,400 Glints

The Battle Pass FAQ (opens in new tab) still describes Premium rewards such as an early playable card, exclusive card back, Glints, Apparition Packs, and a First Edition path for the season card, plus cosmetic upgrades to a tradable Prime Variant by spending PRIME while the current pass is eligible. Treat those as standing program rules unless Parallel posts Season 4 exceptions.

A September 5 digest on BlockchainGames.fun (opens in new tab) matches the blog on start time, soft reset, placements, Renard, Crimson Virage, Bloodhound / Conqueror unlock levels, and the 1,000 XP change.

Who it affects

Ranked and Marcolian players

Prior ladder rank is gone until you finish five placements. Soft reset means early Season 4 leaderboards are noisy until placements settle. If you play Marcolian, Colonel Renard is the card to evaluate first; other Parallels feel this season more through ladder pacing and Battle Pass cosmetics than through a Universal meta piece.

Premium buyers spend 2,400 Glints for the Premium Track. Glints are Parallel’s in-client premium currency, separate from the PRIME token. Bloodhound sits early on Premium (Level 2); Conqueror sits deep on the free track (Level 50), so free-track grinders still have a long title goal.

Collectors and traders

Season cards often matter most while supply is still Battle Pass–gated. Parallel’s FAQ still says that after a Battle Pass ends, the season card can move into Apparition Packs, Scraps crafting, and secondary markets. Check live Season 4 exclusivity in-client rather than assuming Season 3’s month-one window applies unchanged. Prime Variant upgrades for current-pass cosmetics still burn PRIME and close when the pass closes.

For owned Alpha and Base printings, start from Parallel Alpha Cards and verify contracts on Ethereum or Base before you trade into Renard hype.

What to watch next

  • In-client cost and effect text for Colonel Renard (not fully spelled out in the launch blog)
  • Whether Season 4 keeps a first-month pass-only window before packs and Scraps craft open
  • Prime Variant upgrade window for Season 4 cosmetics before the pass closes
  • Ladder pace after placements under the 1,000 XP-per-level grind
  • Official posts from Parallel on X (opens in new tab) and parallel.life (opens in new tab)

Bottom line: Finish your five placements before early Season 4 ranks settle, then decide whether Marcolian decks and the Premium track are worth chasing Colonel Renard and Bloodhound while the pass is live.
