Axie Terrariums V1.1 Update: accessories and land items feed Flame

Sky Mavis shipped Terrariums V1.1 on July 22, 2026. Accessories, land items, and Fortune Slips now raise each plot's Atia's Flame, joining the evolved-part benefits that went live on July 15. Higher Flame means a larger share of the hourly bAXS pool for that land category, so inventory that sat idle in V1 now changes mining payouts.

Background

Terrariums is Axie Infinity's land mining loop on Ronin. You station Axies at a shrine on a plot, the plot builds Atia's Flame, and each land category pays a fixed hourly pool of bonded AXS (bAXS) split by Flame share. In V1, rarity and shrine assignment drove most of the result. Accessories, decorative land items, and Fortune Slips stayed outside the Flame formula.

Sky Mavis announced V1.1 on July 1, 2026, then rolled evolved-part Flame on July 15 before the full V1.1 package on July 22. Axie Infinity: Origins is the catalog TCG entry point; Terrariums land activity runs on the broader Axie stack on Ronin, where RON covers gas and AXS governs protocol stakes.

This update closes the loop the sneak peek opened: evolved parts, accessories, land items, and Fortune Slips all reach the Flame. Estate themes and multi-collectible part buffs sit on the V1.2 roadmap only; they are not part of this July 22 ship.

What happened

Per the Lunacian Terrariums V1.1 post (opens in new tab) on July 22, 2026, three new Flame inputs sit on top of evolved parts that were already live.

Accessories

  • Equip up to 5 accessories per Axie inside Terrariums (no need to leave the client).
  • Each accessory adds Flame scaled by accessory rarity and the Axie's collection line. Studio examples: a Mystic Axie with a Mystic accessory adds 9 Flame; a Normal Axie with a Common accessory adds 0.1.
  • While an Axie mines at the shrine, accessories raise Flame. While it rests, they raise AXP by rarity.
  • Some body types still cannot equip certain slots: Spiky, Wetdog, Bigyak, and Nightmare cannot equip hip accessories; Curly cannot equip cheek; Frosty cannot equip neck or hip.

Land items

  • Place up to 8 land items on a plot. Items raise plot Flame by rarity: Common 0.05%, Rare 0.10%, Epic 0.75%, Mystic 1.5%.
  • Matching the plot's environment multiplies the boost: Savannah, Forest, and Arctic at ×1.2; Mystic at ×1.5. Genesis applies ×1.2 to every placed item; Luna's Landing applies ×1.5 to every item. Non-matching items still count at their base boost.
  • Land items also lift AXP (1% at Common through 4% at Mystic).
  • Once placed and locked, an item cannot be listed or traded until you unlock it again.
  • Studio worked example: a Forest plot with three matching items (Common, Rare, Mystic) and three non-matching Savannah/Arctic pieces totals about 3.58% Land Item Boost after the ×1.2 match step.

The map canvas is larger, with room to spread items and find where Axies sit. Sky Mavis frames that space as setup for a later pass that could unlock moving buildings that stay fixed today. That move-tool idea is not a V1.1 feature.

Fortune Slips

  • Spend Fortune Slips for a +10% Atia's Flame buff on a plot.
  • Each purchase adds 24 hours. Strength does not stack; extra buys only extend the timer.
  • The buff starts when you activate it, not on the next tick. Studio tip: activate just after a tick so more full hourly ticks fall inside the window.
  • Slip cost scales with land type: Savannah 3, Forest 8, Arctic 22, Mystic 48, Genesis 960, Luna's Landing 2,880.
  • Hold a collectible Axie and pray to Atia daily to earn slips under live Axie rules.

How payouts resolve

Each Axie brings base Flame from rarity, plus evolved parts and accessories. The plot totals that Flame, then land items and Fortune Slips multiply the total. Each hour, the category's bAXS pool splits by each plot's share of category Flame. Bring 5% of the Flame in your category, take 5% of that category's pool.

Who it affects

Players

If you already mine on land, open Terrariums and equip idle accessories before the next tick. Re-check which plot category has quieter total Flame; a smaller share of a quieter category can beat a thin share of a crowded one. Fortune Slips give the same +10% on any plot, so Savannah (3 slips) and Forest (8) buy more hours per slip than Genesis (960) or Luna's Landing (2,880).

Returning miners should also check body-type accessory restrictions before buying or moving gear.

Collectors

Land items and accessories now have a clear mining job, not only cosmetics. Locking items onto a plot removes them from the market until unlock, so treat placement as an inventory decision. Per Sky Mavis placement guidance, five evolved parts on one Axie hit a ×1.45 Flame multiplier, while one part each across five Axies stays at ×1.0. Put your rarest land items on the plot where your strongest shrine team already works, because land items multiply the whole plot total.

Secondary markets for Axies, land, and items settle on Ronin marketplaces such as OpenSea. Check environment match, lock state, and live Flame numbers before paying a premium for a V1.1 loadout.

What to watch next

  • Loadout before the next tick: idle accessories equipped, land items placed or unlocked with the trade lock in mind, Fortune Slip timer started after a tick if you buy hours
  • Category Flame totals before relocating Axies or locking high-rarity land items
  • V1.2 themes named in the Jul 22 post: estate multipliers for plots held together, and a buff for Axies carrying several collectible parts at once (details when Sky Mavis publishes them)
  • Official channels: Axie Infinity blog (opens in new tab), Axie on X (opens in new tab)

Bottom line: Before the next shrine tick, equip idle accessories, place or unlock land items with the lock trade-off in mind, and only spend Fortune Slips after you know which plot and category you are boosting.
