Beam Node rewards update: claims live again, secondary payouts in BEAM
Beam restored Node reward claims on September 12, 2026. Validators and delegators can open the Delegation dashboard Rewards tab (opens in new tab) again, including epochs that accrued while claims were paused. Secondary rewards that previously paid ATH now pay entirely in BEAM.
Background
Beam is an Avalanche gaming L1. BEAM is the native gas and ecosystem token. The Beam platform hub covers player-facing products such as Beam Wallet and Sphere. Node operators and delegators stake BEAM and Node Tokens to help secure the network and earn rewards through the Nodes Delegation dashboard (opens in new tab).
Beam docs (opens in new tab) split rewards into primary (network fee pool, weighted by BEAM stake) and secondary (broader ecosystem grant pool). Secondary share for each delegator weights 80% Node Token stake and 20% BEAM stake. Epochs run about 30.44 days, then a seven-day finalize window covers uptime proofs, calculation, and distribution before claims open on the dashboard.
Earlier seasons of the secondary grant included BEAM and ATH, as Beam described in its Nodes rewards explainer (opens in new tab). In April 2026, Aethir reported a bridge exploit (opens in new tab) on ATH bridge contracts that connected Ethereum to other chains, including Beam. Beam later paused Node reward claims while that fallout was handled. Catalog titles on Beam, such as Gladiator Mayhem, stay on their own release calendars.
What happened
Claims open again, including missed epochs
On September 12, 2026, Beam posted in the official Beam Discord (opens in new tab) that Node rewards are live and claimable on the dashboard, and that rewards from previously missed epochs during the pause are included.
The public Rewards page (opens in new tab) no longer shows the temporary pause banner that had pointed operators to Discord for Aethir-related updates. Connect the wallet you used to stake or run a validator to see pending claims. Each claim is an on-chain approval, per Beam’s claim docs (opens in new tab). That docs page may still carry an older “not claimable yet” line; prefer the live dashboard over a Help line that has not caught up.
Secondary payouts now BEAM-only
The same Discord post said that because of the ATH exploit, ATH is no longer on Beam Chain, so rewards for the current and previous epochs are distributed entirely in BEAM. Beam described the total value as similar to the pre-pause mix; treat that as the studio’s framing, not an independently measured dollar amount in this article.
Check that your validators are still active
Beam also reminded operators to double-check that nodes you delegate to are still active, and to re-delegate to an active node if they are not. Inactive validators can leave stake sitting where rewards no longer accrue under live rules.
Who it affects
Node operators and delegators
If you staked BEAM or Node Tokens through the dashboard, open Rewards (opens in new tab), claim pending epochs, and confirm validator status and uptime before you leave stake parked. Expect secondary lines to settle in BEAM only for the epochs covered by this resume. Keep enough BEAM for gas when you approve claim transactions.
Primary vs secondary math has not been rewritten in this announce: primary still tracks BEAM stake weight against the fee pool; secondary still uses the 80/20 Node Token / BEAM weight described in docs. What changed is the asset mix on the secondary side (no ATH on Beam for these epochs).
Players and collectors on Beam titles
Play loops on titles such as Gladiator Mayhem keep their own calendars. This resume is about Node staking payouts on the dashboard, not an in-client game patch.

What to watch next
- Your personalized claim list after wallet connect on Rewards (opens in new tab)
- Validator active status and uptime before the next epoch close (docs epoch table (opens in new tab))
- Whether Beam updates claim docs (opens in new tab) to drop the stale “not claimable” disclaimer
- Official Beam Discord (opens in new tab) and X (opens in new tab) for any follow-on secondary-grant composition notes
Bottom line: Connect the staking wallet on the Rewards tab, claim the backlog, and re-check that your validators are still active before the next epoch finalize window. Secondary lines for these epochs settle in BEAM; do not expect ATH on Beam for that split.
