Critters Quest on Solana: mainnet 4X live, Masters play first
Paradice Tech opened Critters Quest on Solana mainnet on August 8, 2026. On launch day, Master Edition holders played first and Clone holders waited 24 hours. The browser 4X (build, gather, and raid) runs at game.critters.quest (opens in new tab); you need a Critter NFT plus QUEST and SOL before you can play.
Background
Critters Quest is a Solana 4X in which each Critter NFT holds its own wallet for gear, resources, and tokens. Paradice (opens in new tab) lists a 3,500-piece Master Edition collection now. EGamers (opens in new tab) reports an original 2,500-item mint on December 19, 2024, with each Master able to mint 15 Clones.
The homepage (opens in new tab) splits play into two destinations. Lucky Pick mining sits at mine.critters.quest (opens in new tab). Town building, gathering, and raids sit in the game client. Already-minted Critters are pointed to resales on Magic Eden (opens in new tab).
What happened
Mainnet open (August 8, 2026)
The project account @crittersquest (opens in new tab) posted: "Critters Quest mainnet is OPEN. Build. Gather. Craft. Hunt. Raid. Masters play first. Clones follow in 24h." EGamers (opens in new tab) quotes that line and dates it August 8, 2026. The same report says Magic Eden amplified the same-day live message.
EGamers describes the loop as building a town, gathering wood and stone (plus ore and herbs), then hunting with a four-critter squad or raiding another player's town vault.
Launch week on the official site
The homepage listed four unlocks across eight days:
- August 1, 12:00 p.m. ET: Pre-Mine deposits opened for 48 hours. Depositors claimed QUEST on August 3 and could vault it the same day.
- August 3: Claims and staking. Depositors could vault QUEST the same day they collected it.
- August 4: Lucky Pick mining goes live. The mine page says staking is live and that feeding Lucky Pick only needs SOL.
- August 8: Mainnet game launch, plus 100 million QUEST into resource-pool liquidity.
The same page states a 50 million QUEST launch pool with 20 million for sale and 30 million left on the curve. It says 100% of SOL deposited stays in the pool as locked liquidity and is never withdrawn to a team wallet.
Clone mints and collection split
Play access and Clone minting are not the same clock. The August 8 post gave Clone holders a 24-hour play delay. Matrica community posts (opens in new tab) from the project say cloning has a minimum 24-hour wait in the protocol, and that Master owners open their own mints at critters.quest/edition-mint (opens in new tab). Masters set Clone price and onboard QUEST. The same channel later listed Clone mints opening Thursday, August 13, 12:00 p.m. ET, with Clones minting into a separate collection after a community vote. Earlier posts had warned they would land in the same Magic Eden collection as Masters.
An August 12 post on @crittersquest (opens in new tab) said Clone mints would start to open in under 24 hours.
QUEST supply (launch facts only)
The Auditor (opens in new tab) is the project's live Solana readout. The page states mint authority is revoked. Named launch inventory below comes from EGamers, which cites The Auditor. Check the live page before you treat any total as current.
EGamers reports day-one circulating 120 million QUEST (about 3.3%), including 20 million from the Pre-Mine launch pool, plus another 100 million in resource LPs counted as circulating (paid out when players gather and sell resources). 225 million is marketing-locked and unlocks 25 million per month from August 8 via Jupiter Lock. Master Edition staking contributed 313,380,224 QUEST by the March 2, 2026 opt-in close. Of that, 283,380,224 backs the Lucky Pick vault and 30 million is launch-pool buy-side depth. Stakers are described as collecting 1% of mining revenue for life.
Project posts on Matrica describe two burns totaling 31 million QUEST: 6 million from a World Boss and Monster seed that was no longer needed, plus 25 million from a marketing unlock. EGamers placed both burns before launch; Matrica frames the 25 million as the current month's unlock after the game was already live.
Who it affects
Players
If you hold a Master Edition, the 4X client is the live loop as of August 8. On launch day, Master Edition holders played first and Clone holders waited 24 hours before play. Keep SOL in the wallet you connect; the homepage lists SOL beside QUEST as a play requirement (fees and mine deposits). Lucky Pick is a separate browser surface that was already live from August 4.
Collectors
Masters and Clones are the access NFTs. Resales are directed to Magic Eden. After the split vote, Clones are supposed to mint into their own collection. Check the live listing and the edition-mint UI so a collection-wide bid does not fill with the wrong edition.
QUEST holders
The circulating and lock figures above are launch inventory from coverage and The Auditor, not a reason to buy or sell. If you claimed Pre-Mine QUEST, staking opened August 3 on the official site.

What to watch next
- edition-mint (opens in new tab) for which Masters have actually opened Clone mints
- The Auditor (opens in new tab) versus the EGamers day-one circulating snapshot
- Magic Eden Master vs Clone listings after the collection split
- @crittersquest (opens in new tab) for the August 20 Robinhood event (Aug 12 post: topping up does not enroll you)
- Lucky Pick round rules on mine.critters.quest (opens in new tab)
Bottom line: If you hold a Master, connect at game.critters.quest (opens in new tab) and check that the Critter is recognized before you open a Clone mint. If you are buying in, open Magic Eden and the edition-mint page and filter Master vs Clone instead of leaving a collection-wide bid.
