DeFi Kingdoms DFK Chain sunset: bridge JEWEL and non-native tokens before August 28

DeFi Kingdoms said on July 31, 2026 that DFK Chain will sunset on August 28, 2026. The studio says the game is not ending and that its immediate priority is migrating player assets onto Avalanche C-Chain, but JEWEL and other bridged tokens left on DFK Chain after that date are treated as unrecoverable. If you still hold balances there, bridge them yourself before the deadline.

Background

DFK Chain is the Avalanche Subnet that DeFi Kingdoms launched for the Crystalvale expansion. It handled Crystalvale gameplay transactions and hosted the Crystalvale DEX, with JEWEL as the gas token so players did not need a separate fee asset for day-to-day Crystalvale activity. Other DFK realms sit elsewhere. EGamers (opens in new tab) notes that Serendale relaunched on Kaia and the PvP Colosseum runs on Metis, so this sunset is scoped to the Crystalvale chain, not every DFK surface at once.

What you must move yourself

The studio was explicit that it will migrate DFK-native assets, but cannot migrate, remint, or control non-DFK assets and JEWEL. Holders must bridge those tokens before August 28. Named examples include JEWEL, BTC, USDC, ETH, and AVAX.

If your Crystalvale inventory, JEWEL, or bridged stables and majors still sit on DFK Chain, treat August 28 as a hard cutover. The studio says the project continues and asset migration to C-Chain is the priority, but it has not yet published the full native-asset migration runbook. Players on other DFK realms

Serendale (Kaia) and Colosseum (Metis) are outside this chain retirement, per secondary coverage. Still check realm-specific notices in case the studio adds cross-realm follow-ups.

Collectors and LP holders
