DeFi Kingdoms DFK Chain sunset: bridge JEWEL before August 28

DeFi Kingdoms said on July 31, 2026 that DFK Chain will sunset on August 28, 2026. The game is not ending with the chain. The studio’s immediate priority is migrating player assets onto Avalanche C-Chain. Holders must still bridge JEWEL and other non-DFK / bridged tokens themselves before that date; balances left on DFK Chain after sunset will be unrecoverable.

Background

DFK Chain is the Avalanche Subnet DeFi Kingdoms launched for the Crystalvale expansion. Studio docs describe it as the ledger for Crystalvale gameplay transactions and the Crystalvale DEX, with JEWEL as the gas token so day-to-day Crystalvale activity did not need a separate fee asset (DeFi Kingdoms blockchain docs⁠ (opens in new tab)).

What you must bridge yourself

The studio was explicit that it will work on migrating DFK-native assets, but cannot migrate, remint, or control non-DFK assets and JEWEL. Holders must bridge those tokens before August 28. Named examples include JEWEL, BTC, USDC, ETH, and AVAX.
