RavenIdle 2.0 Showcase: multi-client play and Taskbar Mode
Tavernlight Games used its first Tavernlight Games Showcase on September 19, 2026 to give a RavenIdle 2.0 first look. The post-stream message for idle players is client access, not a new chain: PC, mobile, browser, and a dedicated Taskbar Mode, with more built systems still queued for later trailers.
Background
RavenIdle is Tavernlight's short-session idle RPG in the Raven Quest world on Immutable zkEVM. Franchise utility still runs through the QUEST token shared with Raven Quest. Gas on the play network uses IMX.
The public site at ravenidle.com (opens in new tab) still leans on browser, mobile, and Telegram access for Season 1 play. That is the live baseline players already know. The Showcase was the studio's way to show the rebuilt product direction after a quieter stretch on the RavenIdle channel.
Idle players care about where the loop can sit quietly: on a phone between meetings, in a browser tab, or beside another game. A dedicated Taskbar Mode, if it ships as described, is aimed at that second-screen habit rather than at a full MMO session.
The same September 19 stream also locked Fortune's Frontier Season 1 for October 16. Treat that as sibling Raven Quest news; this article stays on RavenIdle client surfaces.
What happened
Showcase first look
On September 19, 2026, Tavernlight streamed the Showcase on Twitch (opens in new tab) and YouTube (opens in new tab). The official Twitch VOD (opens in new tab) is the public replay. Agenda posts in the Raven Quest Discord (opens in new tab) listed a RavenIdle 2.0 Preview alongside Fortune's Frontier, The Fallen King, and Player Islands teasers.
In the RavenIdle Discord (opens in new tab), the studio said the livestream carried an exclusive RavenIdle First Look video: a proper look at what the team had been building and where the idle title is heading.
RavenIdle 2.0 client surfaces
After the stream, Tavernlight posted that RavenIdle 2.0 is meant to run in more than one place. Announced surfaces:
| Surface | Player framing (Discord) |
|---|---|
| PC | Dedicated client play |
| Mobile | On-the-go sessions |
| Browser | No-download web play |
| Taskbar Mode | Keep an eye on idle progress while working, watching media, or playing another game (including Raven Quest) |
No public ship calendar for those clients appeared on ravenidle.com (opens in new tab) at write time. Treat the list as an announced direction from the Showcase window, not as a confirmed live rollout.
More systems still to show
The same Discord note said the first trailer could not fit everything already built. Tavernlight flagged upcoming showcases for systems such as fuller combat control / ability timing settings, a new dungeon system, and other features over the coming weeks. Those remain teaser items until dated patch notes or a follow-up trailer locks scope.
Who it affects
Players
If you already idle on browser or mobile, watch for PC and Taskbar Mode drops if you want RavenIdle running beside work or beside Raven Quest. Do not assume Telegram, Battle Pass, or Season 1 reward rules change just because 2.0 was previewed; those stay on live site and client rules until Tavernlight says otherwise.
If you stepped away during a quieter Discord stretch, the Showcase is the first public signal of renewed RavenIdle product updates. Re-check ravenidle.com (opens in new tab) and the Discord when combat-control and dungeon trailers land.
Collectors
QUEST prize-pool and Battle Pass calendars are separate from client packaging. A Taskbar or PC client does not by itself change NFT Land or RavenCards utility in Raven Quest. Watch QUEST and season docs when Tavernlight publishes 2.0 economy notes; do not price idle access off the trailer alone.
