Raven Quest Fortune's Frontier: October 16 extraction season

Tavernlight Games set Fortune's Frontier Season 1 for October 16, 2026 at 3:00 PM UTC (8:00 AM PT). The seasonal extraction mode is now the clear next date for Raven Quest players who want a short-loop PvPvE season, and for newcomers who want a fast path into the same Immutable zkEVM client without a long open-world climb.

Background

Raven Quest is Tavernlight's open-world pixel MMORPG on Immutable zkEVM. Day-to-day gas on that play network uses IMX; franchise utility runs through the QUEST token.

Fortune's Frontier is a separate seasonal game mode inside that client, not a second download. Tavernlight's March 2026 first-look DevBlog (opens in new tab) framed it as a growth engine: every season starts fresh, characters enter at an advanced level, and the path after a season is meant to push interested players into the full Raven Quest world.

Web3Raider already flagged the upcoming livestream when covering New Wilds Update 1.3.2. This piece follows that calendar with a hard Season 1 date and a public hub for pre-registration.

What happened

October 16 Season 1 date

Coverage dated September 21–22, 2026 (including CryptoGames.gg (opens in new tab)) reports Season 1 opening on October 16, 2026 at 8:00 AM PT / 3:00 PM UTC. The official hub at fortunesfrontier.ravenquest.io (opens in new tab) is live for pre-registration, with early rewards framed around beta access and name reservation (press also cites a pet and a Warforge weapon for early signups).

Showcase unlock

On September 19, 2026, Tavernlight ran its first Tavernlight Games Showcase. The studio opened the stream with the Fortune's Frontier trailer, then covered registration and the wider roadmap. The replay sits on the official Twitch VOD (opens in new tab). Watch on Twitch (opens in new tab) and YouTube (opens in new tab).

In the official Raven Quest Discord (opens in new tab), Tavernlight had already listed Fortune's Frontier launch messaging and registration opening as the headliner for that stream, alongside teasers for The Fallen King expansion, Player Islands & Workers, and a RavenIdle 2.0 preview.

Extraction loop and risk islands

From the DevBlog and launch coverage, the core loop is short: enter the Pirate Isles, hunt treasure and gear, fight creatures and rival players, then get home to the wreck-built hub city also called Fortune's Frontier. In that hub, recovered treasure converts into Silver, the mode currency that funds seasonal rewards.

You can run each expedition alone or with one partner. Separately, season rankings split into Solo and Clan leaderboards.

Three islands scale risk:

IslandRisk framingOn death (press / DevBlog)
SajechoSafer learning zoneLose carried treasure
HarborHigher stakesLose inventory and treasure (rivals can claim spoils)
GileadRarest rewardsLose treasure, inventory, and equipment

Press also notes an Energy limit on daily time in each area, so long sessions do not simply outpace short ones. Before each venture you pick a Trinket. Equipment is found on the run rather than carried in from the main MMO loadout. Seasons are framed around roughly two weeks, with those Solo and Clan boards resetting while a longer legacy record can carry forward.

Carnival window around the date

Frontier Carnival (Update 1.3.3) went live on September 19, 2026 and is reported to run through September 29, 2026, with new pets, higher pet capacity, Tiger mounts, and Clan setup ahead of the October 16 boards. The in-game Carnival Stubs leaderboard (opens in new tab) (landowners) is live on the site.

Separately, Tavernlight told Discord players that the prior Carnival milestone track and Pet Awakening Scrolls on the Wheel closed at Showcase maintenance on September 19, while Munk Luck (pity) stays permanent. Treat that as a season rotation, not a wipe of Munk Luck progress.

Player Islands vs Land

On Discord, Tavernlight clarified that Player Islands teased at the Showcase are default player-facing content, not a new sale of RavenQuest Land NFTs. Wait for a public systems post before tying Island teasers to Land utility or a mint.

Who it affects

Players

If you already play Raven Quest, mark October 16, 2026, 15:00 UTC for Season 1 and use the remaining Frontier Carnival window (through September 29) for pets, Clan setup, and stubs while that event is live. Expect a different session length than open-world hunting: short extraction runs, island risk choices, and Energy gating.

If you are new, Fortune's Frontier is the studio's intended on-ramp: advanced starting level, streamlined systems, and a stated path into the main MMO after a season. Pre-register on the official hub (opens in new tab) before launch if you want early signup rewards.

Collectors

QUEST spends, Land, RavenCards, and cosmetics stay on their own Raven Quest calendars unless Tavernlight publishes Frontier-specific reward bridges. Do not treat Player Islands teasers as a new Land mint. Check live Season 1 reward docs when they ship before pricing Frontier utility into holdings.

What to watch next

Bottom line: Pre-register on the Fortune's Frontier hub, finish Carnival goals before September 29 if you care about that window, and keep October 16, 15:00 UTC on the calendar for Season 1.
