Raven Quest Fortune's Frontier: stress test recap, Season 0 Beta Oct 16-30

Tavernlight Games wrapped the Fortune's Frontier public stress test on Sunday, October 11, 2026 after a 17:00 UTC open. In its Discord announcements, the studio said the new Map Sharding & Channel Scalability tech worked very well, and that it will make some gameplay changes before release based on data from the stress test (no patch notes yet). Season 0, the Beta Season, launches Friday, October 16 at 15:00 UTC and runs through October 30, with over $10,000 in Clan Leaderboard rewards.

This follows our stress-test and Season 0 preview. Pre-register on fortunesfrontier.com (opens in new tab) if you still need a name reserved for launch.

Background

Fortune's Frontier is a seasonal fantasy extraction mode inside Raven Quest, not a separate download. According to the RavenQuest Discord announcement, Season 0 launches right inside RavenQuest with the same launcher and nothing new to download. Runs are built for solo or duo play across risk-tier islands. The Fortune's Frontier site (opens in new tab) describes fresh two-week seasons, Solo and Clan leaderboards, and carry-over of top Ravencards and cosmetics from season to season. @RavenQuestGame (opens in new tab) also called it a two-week seasonal mode with rewards that carry into RavenQuest.

Play sits on Immutable zkEVM. Franchise utility runs through the QUEST token; day-to-day gas on that chain uses IMX. No first-party source says Season 0 clan rewards, Frontier Emblems, Frontier Coins, or Ravencard carry-over are on-chain, NFTs, or paid in QUEST, USDC, or any other token. The studio has not published a reward form or full breakdown yet.

What happened

Stress test recap (October 11)

The public stress test started at 17:00 UTC on October 11, matching the studio's DevBlog (opens in new tab) and an @RavenQuestGame (opens in new tab) preview. The stated goal was to put Map Sharding & Channel Scalability under real player load. The DevBlog said the system is designed to add Channels and capacity as more Adventurers arrive, and that queues were expected.

After the test, the studio said sharding worked very well and that some gameplay changes will land before release based on that day's data. It did not name those changes. The DevBlog, written before the test, said the session was expected to last about two hours and that all progression would be wiped before official launch.

According to the Fortune's Frontier Discord announcement, accounts created with Google Sign-In could not access the PTR (permissions not available through the PTR client). Regular RavenQuest / Fortune's Frontier accounts were unaffected for normal play; a later note said a blocked-login issue some players hit should now be fixed. The PTR used an account backup taken Sunday morning, so accounts created after that backup may have missed the test.

Participants who completed at least the tutorial were promised an exclusive Player Title. The studio also announced $1,000 in FF & RQ stuff giveaways to in-game players, plus a group-screenshot gathering in Fortune's Frontier City at 19:00 UTC for another giveaway. That gathering time was not stated as the test end. The studio did not publish winners.

Season 0 Beta window

Season 0 launches October 16, 2026, 15:00 UTC, matching the Discord recap countdown, the Fortune's Frontier hub Season 0 launch target, the DevBlog (opens in new tab), and @RavenQuestGame (opens in new tab). According to the Fortune's Frontier Discord announcement, the Beta Season runs until October 30 (calendar day only; no end clock published).

Clan rewards and boards

Discord and fortunesfrontier.com (opens in new tab) both say Clan Leaderboards carry over $10,000 in rewards for Season 0, with every member of a winning clan getting rewards. A full breakdown is still promised before launch. That Discord announce also set three boards: Small (top 5 members), Medium (top 25), and Large (all members). Every clan is ranked on all three and takes its biggest prize. Clans can be switched anytime. Season 1 is described as having an even bigger reward pool, with no figure given.

Carry-over into Raven Quest

According to the RavenQuest Discord announcement, Frontier Emblems are earned by playing Fortune's Frontier (plus extra from leaderboards) and can be used in the next Frontier season and in RavenQuest. New RavenQuest players can spend Emblems on XP boosts and catch-up gear. Legacy Level 85+ players earn Veteran Emblems for exclusive rewards such as pets, a Frontier mount, gemstones, trophies, and late-game consumables. The site corroborates Emblems for new-player boosts, veteran rewards, and next-season Frontier use without the Level 85 detail.

Top 5 Ravencards carry into Season 1. The RavenQuest Discord post says that carry-over is with a Frontier Pass; the Fortune's Frontier Discord Season 0 post omits that Pass condition. Treat the Pass condition as stated on the RavenQuest Discord side until first-party copy aligns. That Fortune's Frontier announce also said Frontier Coins are account-bound and carry over from season to season.

Season 0 shop

Discord said all purchases are 20% off for Season 0, and the Frontier Pass covers Season 0 and Season 1. No prices were published.

Islands

According to the Fortune's Frontier Discord announcement, the three named islands are Sajecho (no PvP), Harbor (partial loot), and Gilead (full loot), for solo or duo extraction runs. When a friend joins your clan, both sides can get a Fortune Wheel Ticket for permanently unlocked cosmetics and leaderboard play.

Who it affects

Players

If you ran the stress test, treat PTR progress as wiped per the DevBlog and watch for the Season 0 open at 15:00 UTC on October 16. Plan around a short Beta window through October 30, clan board size tiers, and island risk (Sajecho / Harbor / Gilead). Emblem and Veteran Emblem paths matter if you play both Fortune's Frontier and the main Raven Quest client.

If you missed the PTR, Google Sign-In limits applied to that test only. Season 0 uses the normal Raven Quest launcher path the studio described.

Collectors

QUEST, RavenCards, and cosmetics keep their own Raven Quest calendars unless Tavernlight publishes Frontier-specific on-chain reward bridges. Season 0's "$10,000+" clan pool, Emblems, Frontier Coins, and Ravencard carry-over are not documented as QUEST, USDC, or NFT payouts. Stick to official ravenquest.io, ff.ravenquest.io, and fortunesfrontier.com links.
