The Beacon Season 1 final stretch: Bonus Pool out, Glint until June 18
Skillcap Inc. closes Season 1: Goblin's Gambit for The Beacon on June 18, 2026. After an extension from the original June 15 end, the hard-capped 5,000,000 BCN Bonus Pool is depleted, so chests no longer pay Bonus Pool BCN. Until the ~16:03 UTC cutoff, Glint purchases still feed the Base Pool, Final Stretch shop deals stay live, and Writ of Passage holders still have a quest snapshot window. TGE timing stays TBD.
Background
The Beacon is a free-to-play pixel-art roguelite action RPG on Arbitrum. You clear dungeon runs in browser or on PC; optional NFT cosmetics deepen the loop when you opt in. Keep ETH for gas when you import or trade assets.
Season 1, Goblin's Gambit, opened May 25, 2026 at 16:00 UTC as the first full seasonal release. It layers Kraken Klash, a prediction-style board mode, on the dungeon loop. Official rules live in the Season 1 GitBook (opens in new tab). Rewards split into two pools: a Base Pool tied to Glint spend, and a Bonus Pool paid mainly through chest openings. Free play still earns account-bound cosmetics and seasonal progress; Premium windows unlock NFT-owned cosmetic variants under live shop rules.

Season extended to June 18
Season 1 was originally set to end June 15, 2026. After early launch instability, the team extended the adventure to June 18, 2026 at 12:00 UTC. Event systems, including the last Glint Base Pool window and the Writ of Passage snapshot, run through June 18, 2026 at about 16:03 UTC.
Bonus Pool depleted; open-when-you-open chests
The Bonus Pool (opens in new tab) is a hard-capped 5,000,000 BCN global pool, paid mainly through gameplay chests (Chests and Rewards (opens in new tab)).
During the extension window the team still showed roughly 1.4 million BCN left. By the final stretch posts, that Bonus Pool is fully distributed. After depletion:
- Chests do not grant more Bonus Pool BCN.
- Chests still drop cosmetics until the event closes.
- An in-game tracker for Bonus Pool remaining percentage shipped during the extension.
Critical rule from those Discord posts: chest rewards resolve when you open them, not when you obtain them. Holding sealed chests after depletion does not preserve a Bonus Pool BCN roll; open them for cosmetics only once the pool is gone.
Base Pool still live via Glint
Unlike the Bonus Pool, the Base Pool (opens in new tab) pays fixed BCN per dollar of Glint spent, stepping down across seven stages as cumulative Glint purchases rise:

While the event stays open, Base Pool BCN remains obtainable through Glint. After close, any leftover Base Pool BCN is described as moving to a Future Community Rewards allocation; the announcement did not name a reuse date.

When you upgrade to Premium, unlocked Gobloonz convert to non-premium Kraken Chests; leftover Gobloonz stay on the account.
Writ of Passage snapshot; TGE stays TBD
Writ of Passage (opens in new tab) holders complete Season 1 upgrade quests in the webapp. Eligible WOPs upgrade against the June 18 ~16:03 UTC snapshot. Finish the questline before that cutoff.
The final Discord posts answered community questions on TGE, WoPs, milestones, and funding without committing a TGE date. The team said Season 1 performed well for the current market and planned a short assessment before publishing next steps. Treat any calendar rumor as unverified until Skillcap names a date.
Who it affects
Players
If you farmed Umbra or other chests for Bonus Pool BCN, that path is closed once the pool is empty. Cosmetics still drop until close. Sealed chests from earlier in the season only matter for cosmetics after depletion.
Spend-adjacent players can still earn Base Pool BCN through Glint until June 18 ~16:03 UTC, with discounted Glint bundles and the improved Gobloonz exchange during Final Stretch. Gobloonz do not carry to the next season; convert or spend them before close. Stamina refill and expansion items, and Premium status, also do not carry. Glint and earned BCN balances do.
