Axie badge and bAXS migration: move off Waypoint before September 16
Axie Infinity opened a Waypoint migration tool for badges and bonded AXS (bAXS). If those sit in a Ronin Waypoint (keyless) wallet, move them to a linked seedphrase wallet before September 16, 2026. After that date, Waypoint becomes Ronin Stash, and anything left in a Waypoint wallet is treated as gone. The flow is one-time: once you sign, badges land permanently on the linked seedphrase wallet.
Background
Ronin is retiring Ronin Waypoint, the older keyless login wallet, and replacing it with Ronin Stash (Privy-powered). In the Ronin Stash announcement (opens in new tab) (June 16, 2026), the chain set a hard cutoff of September 16: holders must move NFTs, tokens, and other on-chain assets from Waypoint to Stash or a seedphrase wallet through the Ronin migration portal, or they are lost.
Soulbound Axie inventory does not ride that portal alone. Ronin’s FAQ says most soulbound holdings are Axie-tied and that Sky Mavis would ship a dedicated bAXS and badge path. That path is now live on App.Axie. Axie Infinity: Origins remains the franchise catalog entry for Ronin play; bAXS is bonded AXS used across Axie Core loops (see Sky Mavis’s Bonded AXS guide (opens in new tab)).
If you already play only from a seedphrase Ronin Wallet and never used Waypoint custody for badges or bAXS, this Axie tool may not apply. Ronin also states seedphrase-only users need no Stash migration for ordinary assets.
What happened

- 45 badges, grouped as:
- 19 Game Performance (Classic, Origins, and Homeland at every level; Bounty Hunter; Bounty Master; Rice Harvester; Codex Season 0; Atia’s Oracle; Atia’s Top 100; Atia’s Champion)
- 12 Treasury Contribution (Good Goodbye; Evolutioneer; Ascender; Forge Master; Chaos Crafter; Dream Breaker; Marketplace, Breeding, and Rune & Charm fee contribution badges)
- 14 Community (Atia’s Legacy Initiate; Contributor Season 0; OG Voter; Playtest Participant; AxieCon Barcelona; Merch Store Pioneer; and all committee badges)
- Your bAXS balance in the Waypoint context covered by the tool
Asset-attached badges
Some badges are tied to assets you own. Those move when you move the asset. Transfer those items through your wallet or the Ronin migration portal (opens in new tab), not only through the badge tool.
How to run the migration (official steps)
- Open the Waypoint migration page (opens in new tab) and log in.
- Link your seedphrase wallet to your Axie account (skipped if already linked). Ronin documents the link flow in this Support article (opens in new tab).
- Review badges and bAXS, then tick that you understand the move happens once.
- Approve bAXS spend or transfer if the UI asks and you hold any.
- Sign the transaction.
After you sign, badges go to the linked seedphrase wallet permanently. You cannot run the same badge/bAXS move again.

If you used Waypoint for soulbound Axie items and for transferable inventory, run both paths.

Who it affects
Players
Anyone with badges or bAXS still under a Waypoint login should finish the App.Axie flow before September 16. Check whether your Axie account already links a seedphrase wallet; if not, complete that link before you tick the once-only box. Keep gas (RON) ready for approvals and the final signature.
Players who only use seedphrase custody and never parked badges/bAXS on Waypoint can skip the Axie tool, but should still check wallet type on the Waypoint dashboard if they are unsure.
Collectors
Badge prestige and treasury contribution marks are account history, not marketplace floor NFTs. Losing them after the cutoff is a permanent profile gap, not a recoverable listing. Asset-attached badges still need the Ronin portal (or a normal wallet transfer) so the underlying NFT moves with the badge. Secondary Axie trading stays on Ronin venues such as OpenSea; this story is custody migration, not a new drop.
