Axie badge and bAXS migration: move off Waypoint before September 16

On July 31, 2026, Sky Mavis posted in the official Axie Infinity Discord⁠ (opens in new tab) that a Waypoint migration tool is live for 45 Lunacian badges and bonded AXS (bAXS) still held under Ronin Waypoint. If you earned those on a keyless login, you will need to move them to a linked seedphrase Ronin Wallet before September 16, 2026, when Ronin retires Waypoint for Ronin Stash. The App.Axie flow runs once: after you sign, badges land on the linked wallet for good, and anything left in Waypoint past that cutoff is treated as lost.

Background

Ronin offers two wallet styles. A seedphrase Ronin Wallet gives you full key custody. Ronin Waypoint (and its successor Ronin Stash, powered by Privy) uses email or social login so new players can sign transactions without managing a seed phrase.

In the Ronin Stash announcement⁠ (opens in new tab) (June 16, 2026), the chain said Waypoint holders must manually move NFTs, tokens, and other on-chain assets to Stash or a seedphrase wallet through the Ronin migration portal before September 16, 2026, or those holdings are gone forever. Seedphrase-only users need no Stash migration for ordinary transferable assets.

Soulbound Axie inventory does not fit a simple token send. bAXS is bonded AXS: it powers Axie Infinity: Origins Core loops at a 1:1 rate with AXS but cannot move wallet to wallet under normal rules (see Sky Mavis’s Bonded AXS guide⁠ (opens in new tab)). Lunacian badges are account history marks, not floor NFTs. Ronin’s FAQ notes that most soulbound Waypoint holdings are Axie-tied and that Sky Mavis would ship a dedicated badge and bAXS path. That Axie tool is what this update covers; transferable Axies, land, and tokens still use the Ronin portal.

Badges and bAXS the tool covers

The migration moves 45 badges plus your bAXS balance in the Waypoint context the UI lists:

• 19 Game Performance: Classic, Origins, and Homeland badges at every level; Bounty Hunter; Bounty Master; Rice Harvester; Codex Season 0; Atia’s Oracle; Atia’s Top 100; Atia’s Champion
• 12 Treasury Contribution: Good Goodbye; Evolutioneer; Ascender; Forge Master; Chaos Crafter; Dream Breaker; Marketplace, Breeding, and Rune & Charm fee contribution badges
• 14 Community: Atia’s Legacy Initiate; Contributor Season 0; OG Voter; Playtest Participant; AxieCon Barcelona; Merch Store Pioneer; and all committee badges

Asset-attached badges

Some badges stay tied to an Axie, land item, or other asset you own. Those move when the asset moves. Transfer the underlying item through your wallet or the Ronin migration portal⁠ (opens in new tab), not only through the badge tool.

How to run the Axie migration

1. Open the Waypoint migration page⁠ (opens in new tab) and log in with the account that holds the badges or bAXS.
2. Link a seedphrase wallet to your Axie account if you have not already. Ronin documents the link flow in this Support article⁠ (opens in new tab).
3. Review the badge and bAXS list, then confirm you understand the move is one-time only.
4. Approve any bAXS spend or transfer prompt if the UI requests it.
5. Sign the transaction.

After the signature, badges go to the linked seedphrase wallet permanently. You cannot rerun the same badge or bAXS migration.

Players

Anyone who logged into App.Axie or Ronin through Waypoint and still has badges or bAXS there should finish the Axie tool before September 16. Link your seedphrase wallet first if the migration page asks for it, and keep RON ready for approvals and the final signature.

If you only ever used a seedphrase Ronin Wallet and never parked badges or bAXS on Waypoint, the Axie tool likely does not apply. When unsure, sign in at waypoint.roninchain.com/dashboard/wallet⁠ (opens in new tab) and check whether your wallet appears under Social Login Wallet or Keyless.

Collectors

Badges and bAXS are profile and spend inventory, not a new mint drop. Losing them after the cutoff removes prestige marks and bonded balances you cannot recover with a marketplace buy. Asset-attached badges still need the Ronin portal (or a normal wallet transfer) so the underlying NFT moves with the mark.

Secondary Axie trading on Ronin marketplaces such as OpenSea is unchanged by this story. Verify chain and contract before you buy into a badge meta; this article is about custody migration, not floor moves.
