Calamity Sunforge season ends: leaderboards locked, no wipe yet
On August 21, 2026, Tempest Labs posted in the official Calamity Discord (opens in new tab) that Sunforge Season has ended. Final snapshots of the PvP and Fishing leaderboards are locked. The Live server stays online and fully playable, with no character wipe for now.
Weekly team seeds of 10,000 Gold and 200,000 Silver no longer go into Tribute pools. You can keep the current characters until the studio sets a wipe ahead of the next season.
Background
Calamity is a free-to-play 2D action MMORPG from Tempest Labs on Ronin. Class comes from the weapon you equip. Day-to-day play can run without a wallet; Dragon Rings sit beside the loop for cosmetics and optional buffs. Planned WYRM is not required to keep playing in this window.
Sunforge ran June 25 through August 20, 2026. The official Sunforge wiki page (opens in new tab) lists weekly Wyrm and Silver Tribute, Conquest, Arena PvP, and Fishing tracks, plus prize tables that were last updated August 12, 2026. Conquest already locked about four weeks after launch, around July 24, 2026.
Client 0.5.2 in early August added experimental Gold→USDC Withdraw. Networks, minimums, and fees are in Calamity Live update: Gold→USDC withdraw and Awakening Dust stat re-rolls.
What happened
Leaderboards and weekly pools
PvP and Fishing results are final. Dungeons, Arena, trading, and the rest of the client keep running.
The extra 10,000 Gold and 200,000 Silver no longer get added to weekly reward pools. During Sunforge, the wiki listed those same amounts as the team’s weekly Tribute floors: 10,000 Gold into Wyrm Tribute and a 200,000 Silver floor for Silver Tribute.
Character wipe
There is no character wipe now. The planned wipe will happen before the next season starts. There is no date for that season. The studio says planning usually takes a couple of months, then it announces a launch date.
A wipe may happen earlier if it becomes necessary for technical reasons. In either case, Tempest Labs said it will announce well in advance.
Cosmetics and fabrics mint
Next week the team will set up and launch minting for:
- Cosmetics from the sale
- PvP and Fishing leaderboard rewards
- Fabrics bought in-game
More details will be shared before minting begins. Discord did not publish dates, prices, chain, or claim steps.
The wiki prize table is the last public rank map: top 25 on each of Combatant and Duelist for a PvP back-slot cosmetic, and top 15 on Fishing for a fish follower cosmetic.
Gold and withdrawals
Discord said Gold is pegged as before. The Sunforge wiki still documents 100 Gold = 1 USDC for season accounting. The close post does not restate a Withdraw conversion rate.
You can request a withdrawal to USDC in-game through Premium Features → Withdraw. Requests usually take several days.
There will be no mass Gold snapshot and no automatic USDC distribution like earlier seasons. Gold stays in your account. Keep it in-game or withdraw it.
Off-season dungeon work
The major dungeon update was hoped for during Sunforge. Fixes, server stability, and Awakening (Live as client 0.5.1 in late July) pushed it back. The new system is planned for the off-season: the Swamp biome, overhauled Catacombs, and overhauled Forest. Launch will include a special in-game event with its own prize pool. Format, rules, dates, and rewards come closer to release.
Community PvP tournaments
Tempest Labs is preparing in-game infrastructure for community PvP tournaments and wants partners to run them. The studio side is prize-pool funding, technical support, and organizer compensation. Interested groups should open a Discord ticket.
New-player mode
An unnamed off-season game mode is meant to make it easier for new players to join. Discord did not name it or give a ship date.
Who it affects
Players
Leaderboard races for PvP and Fishing are closed, so further Arena or Fishing grind will not move those prize ranks. You can still use the current characters, Auction House, and dungeon loop. Weekly Tribute no longer gets those team Gold and Silver seeds.
If you hold Gold, decide whether to leave it in the account or open Withdraw. Treat processing as days, not instant settlement. There is no end-of-season auto-cashout to wait for. Watch Discord for a wipe notice before you spend time you would not want to lose on a fresh start.
Collectors
If you placed in PvP or Fishing, or you bought sale cosmetics or in-game fabrics, wait for the mint post before you try to claim. Discord promised details before minting starts. Do not treat the wiki rank table as a live claim UI.
This close post does not change Dragon Rings utility. Conquest cosmetics appear on the wiki prize table, but they are not in the mint list above. Planned WYRM stays separate from Gold.
