Gigaverse The Awakening is live: Hard Cores, forest loop, and prize pot

GLHF opened The Awakening in the live Gigaverse client on August 10, 2026. The studio posted the go-live thread on Gigaverse X (opens in new tab): collect Hard Cores, climb the Hall of Noobs, and compete for a share of a prize pot seeded at $20,000 that grows from Juice sales and Gigamarket fees during the event.

Background

Gigaverse is GLHF’s browser RPG on Abstract. Factory NFTs (ROMs), tradable Items, and Giglings sit beside dungeon, fishing, and Gigamarket loops. Giga Juice is the account subscription that unlocks juiced multipliers.

The studio already framed The Awakening as the ~two-month bridge before downtime and Gigaverse Online, with Aug 7 Trade Port / unjuiced listing changes covered in Gigaverse Online announced. The Aug 4 rules post used “Cores”; the go-live thread names the score Hard Cores. We covered those pre-launch rules in Gigaverse The Awakening: how it works. This note is the Live status flip, not a second full rules dump.

What happened

Per the Aug 10 go-live thread (opens in new tab) and its detail replies:

Status and scoring

  • The Awakening is live in the current client.
  • Primary grind: collect as many Hard Cores as you can.
  • Juiced accounts collect the base Hard Core amount.
  • Earn paths named in the thread: forest dungeon, forest fishing, plus weekly and daily quests and item turn-in offers.
  • Turn-in Hard Cores deals use the weekly/daily offer system; that turn-in surface goes live in the coming days (not in the same go-live post as dungeon/fishing).

Prize pot and Hall of Noobs

PieceDetail
Starting pot$20,000 (thread framing)
Additions during event50% of Juice purchases and 50% of Gigamarket fees
PayoutGacha boxes for players who hit a minimum Hard Cores threshold (number not stated)
Box contentsVarious USDC amounts and new unique cosmetics
Hall of NoobsSeparate ranks for Hard Cores, medals, and key ecosystem assets; memorializes top performers

Forest dungeon (live loop numbers)

  • 20 energy to enter; max 12 runs per day
  • Offer a silver or gold ring to increase Hard Core drops
  • Giga Juice Hard Cores is additive to offerings (example in thread: gold 4× + juice 4× = , not 16×)
  • Each room win can grant Hard Cores, upgrades, and enemy selection
  • New content called out: upgrade types, forest enemies, enemy-selection options whose abilities set difficulty (higher difficulty = higher Hard Core drops)
  • Players need a minimum skill level to craft gear

Forest fishing (live loop numbers)

  • 12 energy per cast; max 10 casts per day (20 if juiced)
  • Same silver/gold ring offerings and the same additive Juice math as dungeon
  • New features called out: larger grid, cast focus point for spells, new spells, new potions system for fishing

Who it affects

Players

If you are competing on Hard Cores, treat Aug 10 as day one of a ~two-month score chase. Decide whether active Juice is worth the rate and the higher fishing cast cap. Offer rings only when you understand they stack additively with Juice, not as a second multiply.

Craft gear only after you meet the new skill gate. Do not plan Hard Core turn-ins until the studio opens the offer UI.

Collectors

ROM materials, Gigling outputs, and Items may still matter for Awakening craft and for turn-ins once that system opens. Hall rankings that weight “key ecosystem assets” still do not list contracts in the go-live thread. Do not reprice ROMs or Items from the $20k pot headline alone.

What to watch next

  • Turn-in offer UI when it opens (thread: coming days)
  • Minimum Hard Cores threshold for gacha eligibility
  • Which contracts count as Hall “key ecosystem assets”
  • Exact Oct window / downtime notes already framed in the how-it-works Update
  • Official channels: Gigaverse X (opens in new tab) and Discord

Bottom line: Start Hard Core runs with the live energy caps and additive Juice math in mind; hold turn-in inventory until the offer system is actually up; use the how-it-works piece for carry-over and Hall framing that this thread does not restate.
