Gigaverse End of The Awakening: Eternal carry, web pause, ROM migration

On September 30, 2026, @playgigaverse (opens in new tab) published Reminders: End of The Awakening. The piece frames The Awakening as the cut from legacy Gigaverse to Gigaverse Online, with the Eternal carry list now finalized and the web app plus active Giga Juice subscriptions pausing after prizes can be claimed. If you hold Awakening inventory, check Eternal tags and finish any Juiced Burn Pit burns before those relative closes.

Background

Gigaverse is GLHF's paid-entry browser RPG on Abstract. Players push dungeon runs, craft and fish between fights, raise Giglings, and trade inventory on Gigamarket. The Awakening has been the multi-week finale before that Online cut. Earlier Web3Raider coverage walks the rules and Burn Pit open window in The Awakening how it works, Awakening go-live, and Burn Pit Hard Cores. This article follows those pieces with the studio's end-window reminder and post-event cutover steps.

What happened

End timers and October 9th (X Article)

In that September 30 article, Gigaverse timed the closes this way:

  • The Burn Pit closes in 6 days
  • The Awakening event ends in less than 10 days, on October 9th

October 9th is how this article names the Awakening end. Earlier how-it-works coverage used an August through October 12 window, and earlier Burn Pit coverage used an October 5, 2026 18:00 UTC close. Those are separate coverage clocks from this Sep 30 article's relative lines and October 9th wording.

The same article says The Awakening marks the transition from legacy Gigaverse to Gigaverse Online, and that Hard Cores / Abstract Stubs deals end when the event does.

What carries: Eternal list finalized

Not every inventory item moves to Gigaverse Online. Items that transfer are marked Eternal in inventory. The studio says that list is now finalized, unless a major discrepancy is reported. Non-Eternal items are not auto-burned, and they will not be carried forward into Gigaverse Online. Check listed marketplace items too: a listing does not save a non-Eternal stack.

The GLHF Discord (opens in new tab) announcements channel linked the same X status and repeated the Eternal tag check (open an item; the description shows Eternal when it carries). A later game-updates post warned that Seasonal items (those without the Eternal label) will not carry over.

Juiced burns before the Burn Pit closes

Juiced players can burn eligible items in the Burn Pit (near Cores Deals) for Hard Cores. The pit closes before The Awakening does. Burn what you mean to burn before that relative close, then use or trade everything else before the event ends. Live timers sit on the in-game Burn Pit and Event Details tabs.

After The Awakening: prizes, pause, racing, ROMs

Soon after The Awakening ends, prizes will be available to claim. This September 30 post text does not name a prize amount or pot size.

After that claim window, the current Gigaverse web app will be paused and no longer playable. Active Giga Juice subscriptions will be paused so players do not burn Juice during downtime. Gigling racing stays online with its own closed loop for hatching, racing, and dueling. The Hall of Noobs launches some time after prizes are claimed, along with migration of Gigaverse ROMs from Abstract to Ethereum mainnet.

Player note: stuck listing burns returned (Discord)

In a later GLHF Discord (opens in new tab) game-updates post, the studio said some players burned items to list on the marketplace but never finished the listing, leaving stacks stuck. Staff cancelled those unfinished listing processes and returned the items to inventory so owners could act before the Burn Pit closed. A Burn Refunds panel sits in the top-right settings menu (three bars → Burn Refunds). That refund note is from Discord game-updates, not from the September 30 X Article. The same post used relative reminders (Burn Pit closes in a day; Awakening ends in 5 days) and told players to cancel completed marketplace listings if they still need those items in the event or pit.

Who it affects

Players

Open each Awakening stack and check for Eternal before you assume it survives the cut. Stacks without the Eternal label (Discord also calls some Seasonal) need a plan: burn while Juiced and the pit window remains, use in-event, trade, or accept they do not carry. After prizes claim, expect the current web client to stop and Juice to pause; Gigling racing is the loop the studio says stays up through downtime.

If you tried to list items by burning them and never finished the listing, check inventory and the Burn Refunds panel before the pit closes. Cancel any live marketplace listings you still need for burns or event use.

Collectors

Gigaverse Items sit closest to the Eternal vs non-Eternal filter. ROMs are named for a post-prize migration from Abstract to Ethereum mainnet; watch studio channels for the actual move window. Giglings stay in play through the racing closed loop while the main web app is paused.

What to watch next

Bottom line: Check Eternal tags and marketplace listings now, finish any Burn Pit burns while Juice and the pit are still available, and plan for a paused web client after prizes claim rather than assuming every stack survives into Online.
