Might and Magic: Fates Card Rotation ends November 2: CotW and crafting

On November 2, 2026, Might and Magic: Fates ends Card Rotation with the next competitive season. Previously rotated-out cards return to the pool, and Card of the Week will feature only newly released cards. On October 16, 2026, the Might & Magic TCG team posted (opens in new tab) that change in a team letter. The same letter says Card Crafting is in development with a goal to ship before the end of the year, and that limited-time live events begin with a first Halloween event the week after that post.

Background

Fates is Ubisoft’s free-to-play hero TCG on Immutable zkEVM. Mobile launched worldwide on February 4, 2026; Steam Early Access followed on February 16, 2026. Ranked play does not require a wallet. Optional tradable copies sit on Fates Cards when region rules allow.

The letter’s Early Access recap lists Stronghold and Sylvan factions, Heroes Pass, login events, the Forge, duplicate protection, achievements, and leaderboards. This article follows our Sylvan Awakening Season 5 update.

What happened

Team letter on official X (October 16)

On October 16, 2026, @MightMagicFates (opens in new tab) shared the team letter as an image. The studio also posted it in the official Might & Magic: Fates Discord (opens in new tab). The letter is signed by the Might & Magic TCG Team; Steam lists the product as Might and Magic The Card Game.

Card Rotation ends November 2

Starting with the next competitive season on November 2, 2026, Card Rotation is discontinued. The letter states:

  • All previously rotated-out cards will become available again
  • Cards will no longer be routinely removed from the available pool, except in exceptional cases such as balancing, technical issues, or specific events
  • Going forward, Card of the Week will exclusively feature newly released cards, rather than rotating existing ones in and out

The letter does not name the season number for that November 2 reset. Check the in-client ranked screen when the new season opens for the exact season label and reward claim flow.

Card Crafting targeted before year-end

The team says it is developing a Card Crafting system that will let you sacrifice duplicate or unwanted cards, convert them into resources, and craft specific cards you want. The goal is to release that system before the end of the year. The letter does not publish rates, a craftable card list, or a day inside that window.

Card Crafting is a separate system from the March Broken Oaths disenchantment tools.

Live events and solo campaign

The letter says regular limited-time live events are coming, starting with a first Halloween event “next week” relative to the October 16 post, with special quests and additional rewards. No calendar day or UTC clock was stated for that Halloween event.

A solo campaign exploring the Sea of Fates is also in development. The studio has not set a release date.

Who it affects

Competitive and ladder players

From the November 2 season, previously rotated-out cards will be allowed again, so you can rebuild decks with the full card pool. Decks that leaned on rotated-out cards can return those pieces without waiting on Card of the Week rotation. After November 2, expect Card of the Week to spotlight new releases only. Rebuild lists before you queue into the new season if your core cards were out of the pool.

Collectors and completionist deck builders

Crafting is planned to give a path from duplicates or unwanted cards into specific missing pieces, but only after the system ships (goal: before year-end). Until then, collection still runs through packs, shop, Pass, and optional Forge or secondary paths on TokenTrove for tradable copies. Crafting is not live yet.

Event and PvE players

Watch the client and @MightMagicFates (opens in new tab) for the first Halloween live event (quests and extra rewards). The solo campaign is still in development; the studio has not set a release date.
