Might and Magic: Fates Sylvan Awakening: Season 5, Stealth, Pass Ch.3

Ubisoft shipped Sylvan Awakening, a major client update for Might and Magic: Fates, on September 29, 2026. The patch adds the Sylvan faction and hero Ossir, the Nature Set, the new Stealth mechanic, Season 5 ranked resets, Heroes Pass Chapter 3, and refreshed leaderboards. Install the update before you launch the client so ranked and Pass progress load on the new build.

Background

Fates is Ubisoft’s free-to-play hero TCG on Immutable zkEVM. Mobile launched globally on February 4, 2026; Steam Early Access followed on February 16. Ranked play does not require a wallet. Optional tradable copies sit on Fates Cards when region rules allow.

Sylvan Awakening is the live faction-and-season beat. The Sylvan Key Bundle presale closed its September 27, 2026 listing window on the shop calendar; The Forge remains the in-game mint path for Veteran duplicates. The Broken Oaths update on March 24, 2026 is the earlier Absolution expansion. This article covers the September 29 Sylvan Awakening ship only.

What happened

Sylvan Awakening goes live

On September 29, 2026, Ubisoft posted Sylvan Awakening: Major Update in the official Might & Magic: Fates Discord (opens in new tab) updates-patches channel. The post marks the patch as live, opens Season 5, and tells players to update the game before launching.

Headline systems in that announcement:

  • Sylvan faction led by hero Ossir
  • Nature Set with dozens of new cards (no public card list in the post)
  • Stealth as a new mechanic
  • Season 5 ranked season with reward claim, rank reset, Bonus Stars, and MMR reset
  • Heroes Pass Chapter 3 with new quests, a daily Battle Pass XP cap, and higher Daily Quest gold payouts
  • Leaderboard upgrades for faction standing and last season’s Top 100
  • Stability improvements and bug fixes

Sylvan, Nature Set, and Stealth

The live post frames Sylvan as a new playable faction with Ossir as its hero. The Nature Set adds dozens of new cards for new deck lines; Ubisoft did not publish a full spoiler list in the same message.

The Discord post labels New Mechanic: Stealth and says the Stealth mechanic helps you protect key threats and catch opponents off guard. Celestial Heavens (opens in new tab) described Stealth as making creatures untargetable by spells and abilities until they attack, take damage, or the turn ends.

Season 5 ranked reset

Season 5 starts with the update. Per the Discord post:

  • Claim previous Season rewards before you climb again
  • Every player’s Rank resets to Bronze
  • Bonus Stars apply based on your previous Season Rank to speed the re-climb
  • MMR resets for everyone so Rank and MMR track more closely

The post does not publish Bonus Star tables or a reward-claim deadline. Check the in-client ranked screen after you patch.

Heroes Pass Chapter 3 and economy tweaks

Heroes Pass Chapter 3 is available for the new season. The announcement adds new quests, sets a daily Battle Pass XP cap of 1,500 XP, and raises Daily Quest payouts to 400 Gold each.

Those numbers change how fast free players finish Pass tracks relative to prior chapters. Re-read the Pass UI after patch if you stack daily quests with ranked grinds.

Leaderboards and client hygiene

Leaderboards now let you compete for the best players of your faction and view the Top 100 from the previous Season on the board.

The same post repeats a hard update-before-launch warning plus generic stability and bug fixes. If ranked or Pass screens look stale, force-close after the store update finishes.

Who it affects

Ranked players

Patch first, then claim prior Season rewards and plan a Bronze restart with Bonus Stars from last season’s rank. MMR also wiped, so early ladder games may feel swingy until the pool settles. The Stealth mechanic and Sylvan lists will reshape meta; budget time to rebuild decks.

None of this requires NFT ownership. Wallet-free ranked stays valid under Fates’ usual model.

Battle Pass and daily quest grinders

Chapter 3 quests plus the 1,500 daily Battle Pass XP cap change how quickly you finish tiers. 400 Gold per Daily Quest is a direct payout bump; compare your pre-patch routine so you do not cap XP early and waste quest completions.

Collectors (optional)

Sylvan cards enter the live pool on this beat. Fates Cards remain the on-chain line when you mint through The Forge. Buyers who picked up the Sylvan Key Bundle during the August presale were chasing tradable VIP Keys and named pack cards ahead of faction release; delivery timing for those SKUs is a shop/account question, not something the September 29 patch post details.

Match contracts on TokenTrove before you pay secondary prices for new Sylvan tradables. Gas for typical Immutable zkEVM moves uses IMX when Passport sponsorship does not cover the fee.

What to watch next

  • Bonus Stars tables and any reward-claim deadline for the prior season
  • Nature Set card list as it spreads in client set browsers
  • TokenTrove listings for new Sylvan tradables after Forge mints

Bottom line: Patch before you queue, claim last season’s rewards, and expect a Bronze restart with Bonus Stars on Season 5. Rebuild for Sylvan, the Stealth mechanic, and the Nature Set, and treat 1,500 daily Pass XP and 400 Gold dailies as the new grind math for Chapter 3.
