Ronin Waypoint migration: Stash deadline extended to September 30, 2026

Ronin extended the Waypoint → Ronin Stash migration cutoff to September 30, 2026. If your NFTs or tokens still sit in a Ronin Waypoint (keyless) account, move them through the official portal before that date. Anything left behind after the cutoff is treated as permanently inaccessible.

Background

Ronin launched Ronin Waypoint in 2024 as a keyless login wallet so players could join without a seed phrase. On June 16, 2026, the Ronin Stash announcement⁠ (opens in new tab) said Waypoint would be replaced by Ronin Stash, a Privy-powered keyless wallet. Stash accounts are free and open with email or social login. The classic Ronin Wallet with a seed phrase stays available for full self-custody.

Migration is manual. You pick a destination in the Ronin migration portal⁠ (opens in new tab): a new Ronin Stash address, or an existing seedphrase wallet / RNS name. Choosing Stash creates a fresh address for you. There is no automatic sweep of balances.

This article follows our July piece on the Axie badge and bAXS Waypoint tool. That story covered soulbound Axie inventory under the earlier September 16 cutoff. The network blog later pushed the Waypoint access window to September 30.

What happened

Deadline moved to September 30

The Stash blog originally set the hard cutoff at September 16, 2026. An August 18, 2026 edit on the same Ronin Stash post⁠ (opens in new tab) extends that date to September 30, 2026. Until then, Waypoint holders can still run the portal. After September 30, Ronin says assets left on Waypoint are gone.

Ronin’s FAQ on that post explains the finite window: keeping legacy keyless infrastructure indefinitely raises cost and fragments the network. The team also said email reminders and push notifications would go out in waves during the migration period.

How to check and migrate

1. Open waypoint.roninchain.com/dashboard/wallet⁠ (opens in new tab) and see whether the wallet is listed under Social Login Wallet or Keyless. Seedphrase-only users can skip the Stash path for ordinary assets.
2. Go to the migration portal⁠ (opens in new tab) and connect the Waypoint account.
3. Select Ronin Stash or an address / RNS destination.
4. Select the assets to move, then migrate.
5. If you chose Stash, log out of wallet.roninchain.com⁠ (opens in new tab) and log back in with the Ronin Stash option so balances show under the new account.

Some dApps may need their own Stash integration before every balance appears in-game. Treat the portal move as custody first, then re-check each title’s login.

Ronin Market supports Stash

Ronin Market now accepts Ronin Stash, according to Crypto Games⁠ (opens in new tab) coverage of a Ronin X post. That post also said the Waypoint page will redirect to Stash, and that Stash will soon be the main keyless experience on Ronin. Marketplace support matters for anyone who bought or listed NFTs through Waypoint social login and never set up a seedphrase wallet.

Axie badges and bAXS stay a separate path

Ronin’s FAQ says most soulbound holdings are tied to Axie Infinity, and that Sky Mavis runs its own badge and bAXS plan. Transferable NFTs and tokens still go through the Ronin portal. Who it affects

Players

Anyone who signed into Ronin games with Waypoint and never moved assets should treat September 30 as a hard calendar date. Keep RON ready for gas on migration signatures. After you land on Stash or a seedphrase wallet, reopen each game and confirm the same inventory loads under the new login.

If you only ever used a seedphrase Ronin Wallet, Ronin says you do not need this migration for ordinary on-chain assets. Still check the Waypoint dashboard if you are unsure which login type you used.

Collectors

NFTs bought or listed while logged in through Waypoint sit on that keyless address until you migrate them. Leaving them past September 30 is a permanent access loss, not a recoverable marketplace dispute. After migration, verify listings and inventory on Ronin Market under Stash or your seedphrase wallet. Secondary trading on other Ronin venues such as OpenSea still needs the destination wallet that actually holds the NFT.
