NomStead Lorenzo event runs through December 2026: Gilt, olive packs, Gold Bar tool upgrades
NomStead said in its official Discord (opens in new tab) that artist Lorenzo is in Nomura for a gathering that runs through the end of December 2026. Players earn Gilt from Offerings, spend it in his shop (and soon on auctions), and can chase new olive, focaccia, and coffee crafts, including a store-exclusive olive-tree pack at 15 USDC (supply 250).
Background
NomStead is Julian Renard’s browser homestead sandbox on Immutable zkEVM. Gold bars (opens in new tab) are the studio’s tradeable on-chain asset on Immutable; gas runs through IMX when Passport does not sponsor a transaction.
This article follows our October 9 season update, which announced a mysterious artist, temporary currency, crop, and store tree without naming them. On October 13, 2026, @NomSteadGame (opens in new tab) on X (opens in new tab) called the season Art of Life and pointed players to Lorenzo for Gilt, shop items, and an auction house.
Gilt, silver, olives, olive oil, focaccia, coffee, and coffee cups are in-game items and currencies, not tokens.
What happened
Lorenzo, Gilt, and the timeline
According to the Discord announcement, Lorenzo asks for help building a studio over the coming months. The gathering runs through the end of December 2026 (at least three months); no day or hour was given for the close. Find him at the in-world link NomStead published: Lorenzo in Nomura (opens in new tab).
His UI shows Offerings, Buy, and soon Auctions. Offerings use the same Top / Middle / Low tier pattern as Lyra: contribute goods from inventory to earn Gilt, then wait through a short cooldown before the next request. Spend Gilt in Lorenzo’s shop and on event auctions when those open. Near the final week of the event (undated), leftover Gilt can be redeemed at Gus at 100 Gilt = 1 silver.
Lyra participants receive a 5,000 Gilt head start. His shop already sells coffee seeds for 50 Gilt; the studio said more curiosities may appear. Treat auctions as not live yet.
Olives, focaccia, and coffee
The Discord announcement lists an olive-tree pack from the store for 15 USDC, limited to 250, and called store exclusive. Cut trees with an axe for wood and olives. The studio did not state chain, NFT form, or a contract for that pack.
- Olives: eat for +15 energy and a 15 min orchard boost (+1 fruit when cutting fruit trees), or press into oil.
- Olive oil: at a Press, 15 olives → olive oil. Buy the recipe at Lily’s shop first. Oil feeds focaccia.
- Focaccia: at a Bread oven Level 2, 1 wheat flour + 1 olive oil + 6 olives + 1 wood → 10 focaccia (1 hour; 30% faster at L2). Eat for +80 energy and a 30 min orchard boost.
- Coffee: buy seeds from Lorenzo (50 Gilt), plant for 24 hours, harvest beans, then process at a Barrel Level 2: 60 coffee → 60 coffee cups (7 days, shared batch with 3 participants).
- Coffee cup: +15 energy and a 15 min cut/mine boost (+1 wood when cutting, +1 rock when mining). The boost is yours alone; it is not shared with the land owner.
Press, Barrel L2, and Bread oven L2
Wine presses become Presses. Craft at a workbench with 5,000 wood planks + 5 iron ingots. They still press 15 grapes → grape must, and now press 15 olives → olive oil.
Barrels and bread ovens can upgrade to Level 2 via the tool’s Upgrades tab. L2 unlocks new recipes and 30% faster processing. Tools stay shared community crafts (batches with 3 participants).

Base crafts are unchanged if you need a new tool: Barrel 15,000 planks + 15 iron; Bread oven 10,000 planks + 100,000 stone bricks + 200 clay bricks.
The studio also noted new fruit-tree falling animations and performance work.
What’s on-chain and what isn’t
Per the Gold bars FAQ (opens in new tab), Gold Bars are NomStead’s tradeable on-chain asset built on Immutable. The Discord announce says each L2 upgrade burns 30 Gold Bars.
Gilt, silver, and the olive/coffee crafts are in-client balances and items. Treat the olive-tree pack as a priced store exclusive until NomStead says whether it sits on-chain. Lorenzo’s Auctions tab is not open yet; the studio still lists it as soon.
Who it affects
Kingdoms farmers and event runners
Talk to Lorenzo (opens in new tab), clear Offerings for Gilt, and decide whether to spend seeds/shop stock or hold for auctions when they open. Plan leftover Gilt for Gus near the final week.
Lyra veterans
Lyra participants receive a 5,000 Gilt head start. Treat Gilt as a separate bucket from silver and gold coins.
Community tool owners
Budget 30 Gold Bars per Barrel L2 and per Bread oven L2 if you want coffee cups or focaccia at the faster L2 pace. That cost is announced as burned, so plan the Bars before you open the Upgrades tab.
Store shoppers
The olive-tree pack is 15 USDC, supply 250, store exclusive per Discord. Confirm the live store SKU in-client before paying.
