NomStead Packs update: inventory NFT mints, Gold Bar fees, Kingdoms reveals

On September 24, 2026, NomStead said in the official Discord⁠ (opens in new tab) that Packs go live on September 25, letting crafters mint select inventory items into NFTs in the NomStead Packs⁠ (opens in new tab) collection on TokenTrove. If you craft for trade, plan for Gold Bar packing fees and a separate path from common gear that still sells for in-game gold coins only.

Background

NomStead is Julian Renard’s browser homestead sandbox on Immutable zkEVM. Soft silver pays NPC recipes and shops. Gold coins fuel player trade and premium sinks inside the client. Gold bars are the studio’s on-chain ERC-1155 bridge asset (minted through player furnaces per the Gold bars FAQ⁠ (opens in new tab)), not the same balance as silver or coins. Gas on Immutable still runs through IMX when Passport sponsorship does not cover a transaction.

NomStead Update: Gold bars and Stadiums split for June 2026 covered the long-range Kingdoms and Stadiums split and bar economy. The next chapter⁠ (opens in new tab) still describes shrinking permanent wallet lines to Tiles, Visas, Packs, and Companions while routing most craftable objects to a future in-game order book so routine items stay non-NFT. The September Discord note adds a narrow on-chain exit for valuable crafted goods, which sits beside that order-book plan rather than replacing it.

This Packs feature differs from the older NomStead Pack⁠ (opens in new tab) shop article, which sells loot-style product packs (random tiles and bonus items). September’s note is about packing items you already crafted from inventory.

What happened

Inventory Packs and TokenTrove

Per the September 24 Discord broadcast:

• When: September 25, 2026.
• What: Pack valuable items and objects from your inventory into NFTs.
• Collection: Listed under NomStead Packs on TokenTrove⁠ (opens in new tab).
• Eligibility: Only limited and valuable items and objects. Common items remain tradable in the in-game marketplace for gold coins.
• Recipes: Cannot be packed. Only crafted items and objects qualify.
• Loop: Acquire a recipe, craft a valuable item, pack it, then list on secondary marketplaces.
• Fee: Each pack action costs Gold Bars, from 1 bar on more common packables and more for rarer or higher-value objects.

Lyra finale, Echoes, and the Art event

The same Discord message lists two more September 25 items:

• The final music instrument for the Lyra event.
• A new way to convert leftover Echoes into silver.

Lyra is scheduled to end in September 2026. A new three-month event themed around Art is slated to start in October 2026. NomStead named Echoes conversion and event timing in Discord; patch notes or docs may publish fuller rules later.

Kingdoms and Stadiums reveals plus /play

Also starting September 25, NomStead said it will begin revealing the first Kingdoms and Stadiums changes tied to the broader update arc documented in The next chapter⁠ (opens in new tab).

Operational changes called out in Discord:

• The website layout will change.
• The game client moves from nomstead.com⁠ (opens in new tab) to nomstead.com/play⁠ (opens in new tab). Update bookmarks if you launch from a saved link.
• The studio frames the first wave as mostly around the game, not inside core homestead loops, so existing players should see little day-one gameplay churn while onboarding and discovery improve.

Who it affects

Crafters and farmers

If you already chase rare recipes, Packs add an optional export step after craft. Commons you mass-produce for in-game gold coin trade should not gain a pack button under the announced rules. Stock Gold Bars if you plan to pack often, and remember bar inventory is separate from gold coins and from IMX gas.

Collectors and secondary buyers

NomStead Packs on TokenTrove are a new listing family for crafted goods, not a replacement for Tiles, Visas, or companions. Check each listing’s chain, collection, and item identity in the marketplace UI. The announcement does not publish contract addresses.

Returning players and newcomers

The nomstead.com/play move is a bookmark and marketing-path change. Kingdoms and Stadiums reveal posts may outrun what is playable on day one; the Discord text explicitly warns that core gameplay stays familiar while outer layers change.
