YGG Play sunsets July 31: unstake $YGG and redeem points

Yield Guild Games said in its July 6 update that it will sunset YGG Play, with July 31, 2026 as the final day for the YGG Play Launchpad, quests, and LOL Land and Waifu Sweeper access. If you still have $YGG staked on the Launchpad or you have not redeemed in-game points, plan to unstake and redeem before July 31. Background

YGG built YGG Play as a casual Web3 games publishing arm for short, crypto-native titles aimed at players who already live in wallets. In the July 6 announcement, YGG said the unit reached about $9 million in lifetime revenue by the end of Q1 2026, but it framed the wind-down as a market decision. What happened

Official sunset (July 6)

Per the YGG Play sunset announcement⁠ (opens in new tab), YGG said:

• YGGPlay.fun, the Launchpad at https://app.yggplay.fun⁠ (opens in new tab), associated social channels, and Community Questing at https://community.yggplay.fun⁠ (opens in new tab) will be retired.
• LOL Land and Waifu Sweeper will be retired, including:
  • LOL Land⁠ (opens in new tab)
  • Waifu Sweeper⁠ (opens in new tab)
• All marketing support for third-party games will stop.
• GIGACHADBAT will continue under Delabs Games⁠ (opens in new tab), and Ragnarok Breaker will continue under Planetarium Labs⁠ (opens in new tab).
• The transition will be complete by August 1, 2026.
• The restructure affects 35 roles, and YGG shared talent@yieldguild.games for hiring outreach.

YGG also said it will report end-Q1 2026 treasury totals of $20.6 million, including $6.2 million in stablecoins, T-bills, and large-cap tokens, and that the restructure extends operating runway by about four years.

Before July 31, the guide tells players to:

1. Unstake $YGG from the Launchpad.
2. Redeem in-game points for $YGG in LOL Land, Waifu Sweeper, and GIGACHADBAT where balances exist. The guide also describes eligible leftovers being snapshotted and sent to linked wallets, but it still recommends redeeming manually first.
3. Unstake $LOL inside LOL Land if applicable.

Use July 31 as your cutoff for Launchpad staking and for the YGG Play quests. If you used YGG Play quests to discover a live title like Gigaverse, your July 9 quest run is over on the YGG Play side. Keep following Gigaverse in its own client and community channels.

Players of continuing titles

YGG Play quest hooks for GIGACHADBAT and Ragnarok Breaker ended after July 9, but both games continue under their original studios. The sunset guide points to a new points-to-token redemption flow starting August 1 for those two titles.

Collectors and $YGG holders

Launchpad points and unredeemed quest balances do not transfer or carry over once yggplay.fun closes. If you want to finish your $YGG path, unstake and redeem before the July 31 deadline described in the guide.
